Reading and Leeds reveal Lock Up Stage Line-Up

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Descendants, King Blues, Flogging Molly and more are amongst the first acts announced for the Lock Up Stage at Leeds and Reading 2011.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Descendants, King Blues, Flogging Molly and more are amongst the first acts announced for the Lock Up Stage at Leeds and Reading 2011. 

Headliners The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Descendants will be joined by London ska punk outfit The King Blues, LA's finest The Bronx, Flogging Molly and many more names for one of the liveliest line-ups this summer.

Mike Davies, presenter of The Punk Rock Show on Radio 1 and curator of the stage commented "2011 is the year that Punk Rock broke out... again. There are so many great groups around and I truly believe that we have managed to get 24 of the best bands possible to play on the Lock Up Stage. It's guaranteed to be the best weekend of the summer."

The Reading & Leeds Festival take place on Europe’s biggest dual site, Little John’s Farm in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds, over the weekend of Friday 26th August – Sunday 28th August 2011.

My Chemical Romance, The Strokes, Pulp, Muse, Beady Eye, Jane's Addiction, 2manyDJs, The Streets, UNKLE, and Simian Mobile Disco are just some of the bands already announced for this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival. 

Many more names are still to be announced as well as the full line-up for the Festival Republic Stage, BBC Introducing Stage and The Alternative Stage.
