Following hot on the heels of Derrick Carter and Dimitri From Paris’ overwhelming success earlier this summer, Slide on the Terrace return with probably our favourite booking yet - A Love From Outer Space.

If you’ve not heard of these guys yet, where have you been!? A Love From Outer Space is none other than Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnson’s venture into the beautiful world of slower tempo house. Described by Weatherall as “an oasis of slowness in a world of increasing velocity”, ALFOS is yet another step in a cutting edge, against the grain direction from Weatherall and Johnson.

Weatherall who famously produced one of the most seminal albums of all time - Primal Scream’s Screamadelica, and through work under Sabres of Paradise and Two Lone Swordsmen helped forge a unique and brave new world from that broke away from his acid house roots into dub, dark electro, and even rockabilly, via just about every other genre you can think of. Andrew has for a long time been one of the most loved producers in his field, forever raising the bar in originality and forward thinking creativity, challenging listeners and delighting them at the same time.

Sean Johnston similarly cut his teeth in the world of acid house and techno, and more recently landed in his ‘Future Disco’ stride. It’s difficult to describe exactly what style Sean johnston is, as his sets can take in everything from house to disco, edits to techno, and everything in between.

The combined force of Weatherall & Johnston brings together two of the most eclectic minds in the DJing world, who despite taking the audience on a magical journey through genres, keep the dancefloor bouncing, with their own brand of infectious groove. Their performance at Slide last year was staggering, we can’t wait for what the 27th July will bring!
