Review of Ultimate Blink 182 with support "Ever"
Really poor performance, to much interference with the mics making people cringe. People were leaving within the first hour. While we were there they played no blink 182 songs at all. Overall I would not recommend to see these. Shame but it is what it is and can't expect alot for £12 a ticket.

Review of Evanescence + Killswitch Engage - Tribute event
1st time in the York Vaults - (and I've done most of the York venues now) and for a small pub sized live music venue, the Vaults is excellent & bar prices reasonable. Rose of Sharyn are a Sheffield Killswitch tribute band and soon got an initially quiet crowd fully "engaged" with an excellent lead singer getting the crowd to join in some of the songs and even ordering a pint at the bar during one song (who says men can't multi task). Great set. Well recommended.
I must admit I was really looking forward to an Evanescence tribute band to see how close to Amy Lee could she get...and wasn't disappointed. Soaring, angelic yet lung busting powerful vocals, a nice line in swirling head banging, and she also got went walkabout in the crowd getting them to sing into her mic. I shouldn't need to tell you just how good the classics off 'Fallen' are , and the Band did them all fantastic justice with tight contributions from the 2 guitarists and an excellent drummer who nailed all the intricate time changes.
My mate Phil, who was not familiar Evanescence, was blown away and we both felt this band should be doing much bigger venues and festivals. What out for them in 2024
