Review of Marquis Masquerade
Good night out, a chance to dress in your finest and listen to a varied set of bands. Nice to be able to meet the band members too and buy their CDs. The dj's play a brilliant collection of music and the bar is reasonable too. I will be booking for the next time and would recommend it.

Review of The Marquis Masquerade
A great Goth/ Alternative night out in Whitby, with live bands and DJ set at the Metropole Whitby West Cliff. A very friendly inclusive and relaxed atmosphere with a large seating area and dance floor. Lovely cup cakes too. Will defintely be at the next event!

Review of Marquis Masquerade
Disappointing, poor entertainment, not enough seating.
As a ball it was very underwhelming...just felt like a few tables and chairs thrown into a very dull and boring room like in a working men's club! Where was the refinery and decadence that a masquerade ball suggests??
Another gripe is dress code! A ball is a formal and luxurious occasion held originally by people of state and elegance...so when this formal gothic masquerade ball was advertised how disappointed was I to find anything but!
Any future ball should be organised, entertaining, glamorous and have a venue fit for purpose.

Review of Marquis Masquerade
A brilliant night in a lovely Victorian building, a great spread of live and recorded goth and industrial music. And last but not least, a great crowd of people made this a fantastic event.
