Review of MARTIN McALOON (Prefab Sprout) Solo

It was great to see the legend play his brothers songs. For a bass player, Martin is a fantastic guitarist. Paddy wrote some of the best songs - both lyrically and musically, in the history of popular music. Martin carried it off with style. If you loved Prefab Sprout, you will love this gig. Also, The Irish Club is a great little venue, perfect for these kind of gigs.

This was my first gig at Warrington Irish Club, the venue was very welcoming and homely, and not too huge which, is always good.
Martin Mcaloon was really good, quirky and humble and did exactly what I hoped he would do, play some of my favourite Prefab Sprout songs which, have formed part of the soundtrack to mine, and I'm sure, many of our lives.
It was a lovely night and I'd definitely return for more gigs in the future.
Well done to everyone involved.
