Security where more interested in taking girls makeup then searching for the important things like w**d and cocanie, the whole venue stunk of it and people standing their stiffing in broad daylight

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
Free entry for 3 adults 2 children (girls) 6 & 7 years. Arrived at 1pm. No real atmosphere. DJ playing. Some dance class in the big top but couldn't hear the instructor because she had no microphone. Left after 10 minutes as girls were bored by it. Girls went on 2 rides the only ones suitable for their age group. Price per ride acceptable. Decided to eat but didn't do so due to the extortionate pricing. Burger £12 Chips £5. Really?! Drinks - they were having a laugh weren't they. I know vendors have to turn a profit but this was downright profiteering. Along with many others we left after less than an hour and went to eat at Beacon Parks own cafeteria, where the food and drinks were so much more reasonably priced. You really should have allowed people to bring their own food and drinks especially for children. Never saw one single Disney character as advertised. Never saw or heard any of the tribute acts which I'm guessing were later in the day after we left and in any case they were not really for children. This really wasn't a 'Family Fun Day'. All in all a waste of time. If I had paid to enter I would be extremely annoyed and on that matter this was just an exercise in PR as Crooked House only made this free entry to appease local residents due to all the complaints last year. Wouldn't recommend and definitely wouldn't attend again.

Music was amazing & bar staff were great, however que to get in was horrendous and poorly organised! Drinks were too expensive. The amount of people on drugs spoilt the atmosphere, was shocked to see a metal detector at security but no drug dogs! Overall a great event. Maybe next year, invest in drug control.

Review of Crooked House In The Park 2023
As with most events these days, the drinks were massively overpriced. I initially put £150 credit on my band and expected for that to be enough for the day for the two of us as a couple, but I had to top up another £100 due to the high drink prices. We were also held at the entry for over 45 minutes as the event wasnât ready at 11am. The venue itself was great and the DJâs were amazing.

How the hell anyone can justify over £6 for a can of cider is ridiculous. Great event, great music but all of us were completely disgusted at the blatant robbery on drinks prices in a captive audience.
