Review of Wakefield Comic-Con

I enjoyed the venue as each level was something different.
Lots of stalls to look at.
Some people made a real effort with their costumes and looked amazing. Good photo opportunities with lots of different characters.
A nice little surprise was the 'pandora's box' which was a mini animal show with nakes, lizard, raccoon and prarydog. We got to pet the animals and take pictures with then.
I think its well worth a visit if yo dont live far.

Had heard some negative things about previous years, but decided to take the nephews/niece as it is a smaller con.
We all had a great time! The props they had were really good, and the cosplayers in and around the event we're really friendly.
Was a good amount to check out, and the kids really enjoyed themselves, was a great day out.

Amazing day, great range of traders and brilliant to meet Tim Russ! The place itself doesn't seem to have air condition though and is always absolutely sweltering!

My honest opinion of Wakefield Comic-Con 2017

A fantastic day out with my son. The event was well organised and easy to find. Lots of interesting stalls and overall the prices were (surprisingly) very reasonable.

Pros:
Plenty to see and do.
Lots of stalls with a large range of memorabilia and related items.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming (which made a huge difference).
Cosplayers - absolutely amazing! They made it for me. I can't stress enough how astounding it was to see the effort many people went to. I'm tempted to join them next year :)
Good to see lots of families there and all ages catered to.
Celeb visitors - The range of celebs who made an appearance was great.

Cons:
The heat!! A complaint heard from lots of people throughout the day. The building was far too hot.
Perhaps more variety on the stalls? - I am being picky now....a little. There were a few too many stalls selling the same thing (Bobbleheads, I'm looking at you!).

Justin and Roger, the two ranger actors were fantastic and really interacted with guests. There was a good range of stalls and the staff were helpful and friendly

This was a family event but my daughter was very scared by the zombies. They could have been more discreet. WOnt be coming again

It was a fantastic day, staff friendly & well organised. Everyone from visitors, cosplayers and guest we're very friendly and approachable. I have been to all three now and they just get better everytime. Thank you to everyone for a enjoyable experience.

It was very warm but I think this has already been recognised as an issue. The guests were great, but found the prices to be quite expensive for photos/autographs etc. (£20 for a pro photo and then a further £20 to get it signed seemed a little steep) although I assume these prices are set by the guests and not the organisers. It was my first con but will definitely not be my last.

Another great year with some brilliant guests. Last year, my only negative was the lack of organisation regarding the guest talks. This year was sadly the same.
