Review of Bluedot Festival

Loved the Bluedot Festival and would definitely go next year for the 50th Anniversary special of the Moon Landings. Great atmosphere and just the right size for a festival. Not too big and not too small. Felt very safe with the stewards around and a great festival for all the family and all ages with a mixture of everything. Loved the science lectures on SETI and Aliens, the films of Moon and Metropolis and the music, wellbeing area and fire garden. THANK YOU Bluedot! Until next year!

Beautiful setting for a festival, we just came for the Thursday evening But will stay for the whole event with the grandchildren next year.
The website wasn’t clear around access for Motorhomes but there were lots there.

An excellent festival, full of good vibes due to the location, the lovely family atmosphere, unique programme and great food. Seeing Orbital there this year was a real highlight. I hope they can keep booking such quality acts in future so we can make a weekend of it.

Definitely not luxury, but probably still better than normal. Disappointing that the toilets closed between midnight and 7am, whilst showers only open 9-9. No showers on the Monday, and toilets only open for 3 hours. Not the standard I was expecting for the price I paid.

I took my space-mad 10 year old to Bluedot, lured by fantastic music and tons of science in an awe-inspiring setting. Neither of us were disappointed - it's simply the best all-round festival we've been to. Brilliant line-up and a wide range of informative and interesting science talks and workshops, suitable for all ages and experience levels. Really friendly atmosphere (staff, volunteers and fellow festival-goers were all lovely). Great range of food and drink providers. My only criticism is of the camping facilities - too few washing facilities to serve the number of campers, and worst of all, no showers, unless you wanted to pay £25 a day for Club Class shower and toilet facilities (together with hairdryers, mirrors and straighteners). I don't - I just want a warm shower a couple of times over the weekend. I don't mind paying a couple of quid (most other reasonable-sized festivals provide for free), but the choice of Club Class or nothing was a bit of a joke. So we stayed grubby and did the wetwipe wash. Otherwise, it was brilliant.

I enjoyed being able to have a shower every day and the temperature was lovely, the toilets were good and having actual soap and water is so much better than hand sanitizer. It was a good set up in the pamper lounge. The downsides were that the cubicles didn't have a hook in the men's apparently and would be better a little larger with a shower curtain and a small bench and dry changing area, so shy people didn't feel put off by the shared changing room. The price is quite steep too. The festival would offer basic free showers.

Great music and venue but £40 for a shower

Fab Friendly Festival

I went on Saturday. Wow, what a massive variety of stuff to see, hear and do, for all ages. Great talks but a shame I couldn't get into the Dark Web talk, it was solid packed at the door so couldn't even stand at the back. [ORGANISERS - I suspect every seat wasn't taken and that there was room to stand around the sides; there should have been some stewards moving people around so more could enjoy the talk.]
It's a shame that all the food and drink was so expensive, it spoiled the day a bit for me. Particular highlights for me: Radiophonic Workshop, Chris Lintott, the telescope, the weather, the atmosphere. Well done guys!

One of the best festivals I've attended. Really well laid out, compact, toilets clean and well maintained. The sound on all stages was crystal clear. Haven't done so much dancing in years!!

Review of Club Class Luxury Pass at Bluedot

i didn't use it that much to be honest. Largely as I was in a motorhome so had a shower and a toilet and it was located quite far from the motorhome site so it wasn't really worth trekking over for. I expected them to have another site in the arena. If you are in a tent it's maybe good for a shower but the toilets (even given they were flushable) were not really any nicer than the portaloos which were to a high standard in the festival. For men there were only 7 toilet cubicles as appose to 21 for girls (although this changed by Sunday) The club class toilets never had running water to wash your hands when i visited and no paper towels to dry your hands and no hand sanitiser whereas the portaloos always seems to be clean had hand sanitiser and toilet rolls. I can't comment on the showers but otherwise i'd save your money it's not particularly glam at all and very expensive for what they are offering. If i could give advise to CLUBCLASS go and spend a weekend at LAMERTREE festival and see how they sort the toilets there, flushable for people not even paying, really good standard, that is what you are aiming for if you want to charge £30+
