Opus review - Neil Mcsweeney -The Lost Brothers
A wonderful venue - now firmly on my radar!
Neil Mcsweeney is a wonderful talent. Really good voice and accomplished guitar playing. Really good material and a superb performance. I Loved his relaxed and confident personality and the repartee he developed with his audience. I will certainly keep an eye out for him in future.
The Lost Brothers were great, although not quite upto the performance that they delivered during Tramlines at the folk forest in Endcliffe Park. I would have loved to hear them play some of their more percussive nos. as well as the numbers where they played their guitars laying flat on their knees and played them 'Dolcimer style'. Nonetheless a really good performance and I wish them well at their last gig in Liverpool before they return to Ireland.
