It was good and the atmosphere was great. However I feel as though there should have been activities that brought cosplayers together that didn't already know each other. Like group games or quizzes ect.

Review of Yorkshire Cosplay Con - End of Summer Cosplay Ball in Sheffield

I had a marvelous afternoon. It was like cosplay heaven being among so many cosplayers, many wearing face paint as well as in costume. Entertainment was cheerful and witty. Good choice of hotel -
elegant yet homely with nice views and away from busy roads.

While the people were nice and the cosplays were amazing, the entertainment was poor and was geared predominantly for children, with a lack of music throughout with only 30 minutes of ballroom dancing for a cosplay BALL event. While I take into account there were children at the event, the majority attending were teenagers and adults, leaving them feeling bored. Also - to avoid bias judgement - I would suggest that for the cosplay competition there should be a children's and an adults category; it is clear that to not upset a child you would declare them the winner of the competition, while some adults have spent lots of time and money into making incredible cosplays, resulting in their disappointment. I am a great supporter of the Yorkshire Cosplay Con events and only wish for them to grow as they have helped so many, including me reach out to those like me and encourage us to make friends with others who have a common interest. I hope these criticisms will be followed up in the next event which I am looking forward to.

The atmosphere of the event was light and fun. I met a lot of new people and the displays were amazing, as well as the fanart on offer. The performances were great to watch and the games room was amazing. I'd definitely go again!

Absolutely fantastic!
Had a wonderful day out, thoroughly enjoyed myself. Well worth the money!
Only complains are that there was no air conditioning that I knew of, and nowhere cool for cosplayers of my variety (in this case fursuiters) to have a break in. (Again, if there was I was unaware of it.)
Despite this, my experience was not tainted and I still had a lovely time! Thank you!

I had such an amazing time there, it was my birthday on the day and when people found out during the cosplay contest, they gave me such a warm birthday wish, I was so happy and I got to meet so many amazing people and the staff there were brilliant and so were the organisers.
