Review of Gatecrasher
with DJs not playing due to not being paid and being assaulted I feel Gatecrasher is coming to an end. It wasn't as busy as in past years. The cloakroom room always manages to looses coats. Different drink prices depending on which bar you go to and SHOCKING quality drinks all combine to leave me thinkng its time for a change of management or even to bin the once great dance brand. Only time will tell if it continues...

Review of Gatecrasher
Gatecrasher White Party Rave Night 28th December 2019
This will be a constructive review.
Sometimes negative feedback among positive is required for a brand to make adjustments to how a business is managed.
The venue/organization:
On arrival noticed significant changes of organization of this gatecrashers event from previous gatecrasher nights.
Disorganised, last minute preparations.
The venue was not ready to welcome customers on the scheduled time.
Venue was opened around an hour past stated opening time.
Venue wasn't set on arrival for standard/vip access as before leaving customers confused where to line up and freezing cold in the chilled outside.
Although I love both Gatecrasher and Area Sheffield the Venue was lacking in financial maintenance.
The venue's toilets didn't have much roll, had no soap and had no loo attendant employee as with previous gatecrasher nights.
The lack of employed bar staff was clearly noticed this time.
Some lights around furniture (those red tables in the bar in the upper area 1) were switched off or not in use.
From my observations both brand and owner of the building are having financial difficulties and is clearly noticeable to customers.
I wouldn't be surprised if I hear later word of announced Area Sheffield closers or if gatecrasher relocates or even if the brand seeks financial help.
Sound:
Too loud, distorted speakers. I have left for the first time with hearing difficulties that is lasting for more than a day.
I'm concerned.
Music and Dj's:
Fantastic! The closest thing to a public orgasm you'll ever have.
Although I would prefer more vocal, prog and uplift to the hardstyle of beating EDM, but thats is just my personal preference.
Atmosphere and People:
People friendly as always. Met many Amazing fellow trancers.
Atmosphere lovin the oldskool style rave when the room go's dark.
Overall, I did enjoy the night although negative changes were noticed.
That concludes this review.

Review of Gatecrasher
The venue opened shortly after 9pm but when I went to one set of female toilets around 10.30pm most of the cubicles were already out of toilet paper. Across the whole club, a lot of the toilet seats were off the toilets and not all of the taps worked, including the drinking water taps.
The staff on the night were all lovely, however I read on Facebook after the event about club not paying their djs and violent behaviour. That's not the friendly club atmosphere that I remember and isn't in unison with the trance family ethos.
I used to attend gatecrasher on a very regular basis when it was held at the Republic (a long time ago!) The 28th Dec did not live up to those days and I won't be recommending the event to others.

Review of Gatecrasher
We originally booked on the Blackpool winter garden then it got changed to a new venue had to paid for the VIP tickets twice .lost out on our hotel in Blackpool also to come to Sheffield event which was on the same day . 28.12.19
Me and my partner had a great night .Maria Healy was amazing !!
3 pound for a bottle of water I think is abit dear
We paid for VIP tickets but we weren't given a wrist band or anything so people who paid for standards tickets are able to roam anywhere .so there is no actual difference between the 2 tickets .we know for next time just 2 just buy standard tickets
Even tho we had a fab night. Dubious about booking again with all our lost on our tickets and hotel and still remain out of pocket !!!

Review of Gatecrasher
There was a feeling of real disorganisation at the venue with slow queues, tickets not being checked, people getting in for free, no security checks, stressed staff and a clear lack of planning and direction from management, lack of soap/tissue etc and dryers not working in toilets only an hour in, lighting was disappointing. The DJs and ravers made the night and atmosphere though!
