Review of Northern Grip at Lee Quarry & Stubbylee Park
Amazing time on Saturday at Northern Grip. Demo bikes were great fun and was very well organised. The location was Infinitely better than 2016. Great riding, great people, great food. Will be seeing them again in 2018.

Review of Northern Grip at Lee Quarry & Stubbylee Park
Northern Grip was a great event with loads of demo bikes to try the atmosphere was very relaxed. The riding was exceptional in and around Lee and Cragg Quarries with fantastic veiws. The camping facilities where ok but could have been more loos and the shower block was insufficient in general i feel the event was to spread out and although the food was ok more choice would have been nice. Dont get me wrong i had a great time and will be back next year.

Review of Northern Grip at Lee Quarry & Stubbylee Park
A fantastic weekend of bikes and trails, good food and good beer, good tunes and good cheer!
Last year's event was brilliant, this year bumped it up a few notches. A great weekend out for a very reasonable price.

We had a great day, the sun was shinning and we followed a number of well marked trails. we will be back for 2018 and this time we will make a weekend of it.

A mixed bag:-
Poor directions - we've never been before - what's the location? What's the postcode?
Great location - hall & trails fantastic
Poor catering - one choice of food Friday & Saturday night & run out of Sunday breakfast .
Poor Drinks "family friendly" festival offered either Pepsi or water (kids rightly not impressed)
Poor maps(blue wasn't a blue, but for walkers(?!)
demo loop map didn't include start or finish.
Poor camping - crap showers, one tap for cold water, no pot washing facility.
This festival is a good idea - poorly executed

Review of Northern Grip at Lee Quarry & Stubbylee Park
Great time had over the weekend. Camping arrangements could have been a little better. 2 showers and 2 toilets were, perhaps, too few? Good food selection. Music was varied, and, yes, Mr Wilson's Second Liners were very good :)
Thanks to all for a superb effort. See you next year, I hope.

Review of Northern Grip at Lee Quarry & Stubbylee Park
Really expensive for very little. Basically a demo day plus a bit of music.
People all seem friendly enough, but maybe 100 max here? It's not as if the weather is keeping people away!
Similar events in ski resorts would be free. I'd return if it was £10, but really poor value at £25. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend; sorry!

Not sure what the £25 was for if you - like me where just coming for the day and not hanging around for the evening! Venue is also compromise for those not camping but aren't previously aware of the fact that you have to park away from the hub - so you end up either carrying anything you pick up in the hub with you or - like me - you don't get anything and collect the relatively paltry goody bag when leaving. Test trail is v poorly signed although there was a decent range of test bikes available for what is actually a very small event! Overall - overly hyped for what it is - especially if just coming for the day - and not very good value for money!
