Review of Disco Tots

This event was not centered around children at all. Nothing for the kids to do there apart from poxy stilt walking on 2 sand buckets... No bouncy castles or inflatables as advertised, no giant bubbles or anything that was meant to be there for the children. Food was way too expensive, rides not suitable for small children.... Also seen police there walking away with a bag load of drugs that were found there on site from previous music event. Good job a child didn't find them first... If I thought I'd be able to I would definitely insist on a refund. Certainly need to massively improve this event if they want to do it again but I won't be going as will probably just be let down again 😡😡😡 .........

Temporary Parking at the venue needs to be sorted. The comedy wasn’t of a standard I’d have expected, but appreciate its a hard business. Fast Food vendors poor quality food and undervalued staff although prices over the top.. so they need to up their game. Stage and seating arrangement good sound excellent.

Childrens event took place in the middle of adult events and this was very clear! Very little thought for children. Not enough entertainment, rides were unsuitable. Circus skills was chaotic. Advice not to bring food and drink shocking and clearly not adhered to anyway. Missing artists. Overpriced vendors. Prices varied for same things to different people.

Thoroughly enjoyed the music, the venue was great and kept amazingly clean throughout the day. Although it yes been so rainy the ground underfoot wasn’t too muddy. Unfortunately despite being advertised as disco tots there were no amusements suitable for tots on the day. Bouncy castles, inflatables and circus acts were advertised but I certainly did see any. However I did query whether this was due to weather conditions. I also felt food and drinks were extortionate with one drinks venue also increasing prices as the day went on. Despite this we still really enjoyed they day.

I think the entry system could have been better, as an adult it’s fine but with impatient children I think there could have been less queuing times! It was a shame one of the acts didn’t show.. I’m sure this was out of your control as was the lack of activities for the children that were advertised! I think it’s a really good concept and the entry price was very good! I would definitely come again though!

Really disappointed. Felt like disco tots was an after thought to party in the park colour clash the day before.
No rides for children (tots). No cider left from very beginning and stated they had sold out. They sold out of hooch by 2pm. The only entertainment they had for children were the hoola hoops and stilts. Really disappointed. Family day it was advertised as yet there was nothing as a family you could do there! Felt like it was a day for the adults and children were the after thought.

It’s called disco tots but wasn’t for young children at all!! Nothing there for them!! We left after a hour!! Absolute waste of our time and money

Reasonably priced entrance fee but hideously over priced bar with poor availability and very expensive food and poor quality.
Entry to the site was poor and took a long time. The queue was split in to multiple lines, some of which were moving much quicker than others so unfair waiting times based on which queue each person was allocated.
Comedy was excellent though, loved it!

This is the second year that we've been. It's a good night out and we'll worth the price.
However the drinks and food were very overpriced and it turned out to be an expensive evening.

I booked early bird tickets for £20 for the golden circle, bargain I thought...but when I got to the venue I was told I had to pay another £25 as I had to purchase a general ticket too to get the £20 ticket to upgrade to the golden circle. I didn't realise this and I don't think it was very clear at the time of booking. There were other people who this happened to. My tickets were on skiddle and at no point was I asked to pay the remaining balance before the show. I felt it was expensive and the show was only on for 2 hours with a band performing in between, who were good, would have been great if they played at the end. Bit disappointed , expensive and not long enough!

Lovely festival feel, despite being a smaller venue. Great comedians and a good view/sound wherever you sat. Wide selection of food choices and plenty of toilets which stayed clean throughout. We were a bit worried about the mud as the weather hadn’t been good, but the organisers were well prepared and had put mats and sand down and our feet stayed dry.

I found the tickets to be a good price. But when at the event the rides where expensive along with the food stalls. They should re consider prices for a child's event especially when you have more than one child.

Really disappointed in the music, they all played the same set of music, heard same songs on 4 different sets. One act didn't turn up and the smaller music tent ended up with a better crowd. Everything was ridiculously over priced there too. Wouldn't pay to come again if same acts were on. Only good one was General Levy

Not baby/toddler friendly despite being advertised as. Advised not to bring prams. No baby changing facilities or baby suitable activities whatsoever despite being advertised. Terrible (zero) communication about anyones concerns. Money grabbers.

For an event aimed at children it had surprising little children activities.

The circus tent was good but we expected more for kids to do, the rides weren't appropriate, music was more for adults and it would have been good to have a children's tent with Kidz pop on or someone showing the dance moves. I felt the shisha pipes werent appropriate at a kids venue and the area would have been good with colouring, craft or more kids activities.

It seems the event was purely an after thought about how they can reuse the venue from the party in the park event from 2 days earlier.

Appalling service from these “organisers”.
There was no comns to say no parking on site.
Park & Ride sold out. Had to buy shuttle bus tickets. It was only the day before that the times got this shuttle bus were released stating the return journey didn’t start until 5pm! So we were stuck at the event until it closed!

They held two events on the previous days absolutely ruining the site. We were advised not to bring buggies! There were no added entertainment for kids (as advertised and we subsequently paid for!) apart from the music due to the weather (no bouncy castle, inflatables, fire breathers etc). If weather was so bad it should have been cancelled. So the event WAS NOT as advertised! And most certainly NOT “a family event”!!

There was no way we could ask questions / voice our concerns to anyone from the team; no emails/phone calls/FB messages were replied to.

They are absolute cowboys who are only interested in taking money. This event was not cheap and ended up being a total waste of money. We will never go to any more events that these cowboys organise and we will be advising family & friends against it too!

Lovely venue, with an amazing atmosphere, child friendly! Overpriced food/drinks/glitter.
Little activities for the children that were enjoyed.

There was no bouncy castle like it said there would be, no mascots and no balloon modelling. The music was just repeated and ridiculous that you couldn’t take food into a kids event when the prices of the food vendors were so expensive. I would definitely not recommend and actually think we should be refunded for false advertising.
