Review of Festival Of Comedy
Very over priced food and drink! Rip off. Golden circle tickets not worth the extra money if you’re getting them for the toilets or priority access, as the toilets are filthy, only two per woman/man so lots of queuing. Only one person scanning in tickets for priority access so slower than the standard entry. Getting worse every year. Organisation is poor.

Really fun evening. Would go again but buses should be ready to take everyone on the park and ride. Waited nearly half an hour for one bus to do the shuttle. Should have two, ready and waiting, to take to the train station and car park

Review of Disco Tots
This was not aimed for tots. The rides were not age appropriate, no inflatables , bouncy castles or mascots (that are age appropriate) music not appropriate, a Shisha tent?? Really? Food and drink awful prices. Children were bored and crying

Review of Festival Of Comedy
Comedy line up was fantastic as was the music. Food trucks and bar far too expensive and not great quality for that. I’m pretty sure my husband has food poisoning from a burger there.

Review of Disco Tots
We went as a large group with my two young children and it was great fun. The 90s tent was a favourite and Kevin and Perry were the highlight. However, it was disappointing that there weren’t more activities for young children. For example, there were no kids rides for small children or tents that played music specifically for children. I know the wind prevented the use of Bouncy castles. More needs to be done for it to cater for young children as the event is “Disco tots”. Despite this, we did have a great time but I think the extra help of having a large group with us made that possible. If it was just us and the two kids, I think the kids would have been bored very quickly.

Review of Festival Of Comedy
We had tickets to Festival of Comedy which stated last entry at 8pm, we were refused entry at 7:30pm. Friends inside said there were plenty of empty seats. We had golden Circle tickets what a waste of money

Review of Disco Tots
It was great for adults, but nothing for the children to do. The children were bored. No bouncy castle as had been advertised and no music for the children. Wasn’t an event suitable for children and the prices of the food, drinks, ice cream etc was ridiculous. The one ride the children could go on was the waltzers and even that wasn’t really appropriate and was extortionate. Good day out but that was because of the people we’d gone with as opposed to what was available for them there. Could have gone to a park for free and had the same experience for them.

Review of Disco Tots
It was a good day but I would suggest that if your advertising it has 'DiscoTots' then you have more for tots! You only had 3 rides at the venue and they were for older children and adults. There's only so much plate spinning and hula hooping a toddler can do!!!!
You also informed people to be there early to help the queues, your shuttle bus started at 11.15am which is a good time but could have started earlier, but your gates didn't open till 12pm (advertised in your email) but the music/acts started at 12. Don't you think your gates should have opened before 12pm?!
Also not allowing food to be taken in for children and actually taking it off parents I thought pretty petty! Some children are really fussy eaters. Your 'corner shop' which I was told sold loads and you can get stuff there was a letdown!

Review of Disco Tots
Really unimpressed. I booked tickets thinking there would be plenty included in the price. There was nothing! Prices were extortionate- £7 for a small tray of plain nachos!!! Chips and cheese for £6.50! Rides weren't included-£5 each for a go on one of them. As I write this I'm getting even more annoyed at the prices. The event was called Disco Tots but there wasn't anything for tots to do at all. I also thought it was ridiculous that you made Harlech Retail park the drop off point when it's so far away and gave Dragon Taxis the monopoly for the event. I wouldn't go again, wouldn't recommend, and would actively tell people not to bother. Waste of a Sunday afternoon and my money.

Review of Disco Tots
Depends what you're looking for in a day festival. This was not as kid friendly as advertised, particularly for "tots" which it should've been when the word is in the event name. The free inflatables and bouncy castle didn't materialise due to the winds. The free face painting was no where to be found and £5 for a badly drawn glitter heart was the only alternative. The food was overpriced and bad from some the stalls (the noodle bar particularly). The music was still full festival volume so my littles could even go in a tent without risking their hearing. There were no rides for littles, only bigger kids and these started at £5 per person, so got expensive very quickly. I was also perturbed at the bar selling booze at a kids festival. A number of parents seemed more interested in drinking budwiser and reliving their rave days than actually watching their kids, particularly around the jitterbug area where some kids were treating the circus skills equipment like trash and snatching off smaller kids. If I compare it to the kidzfield at Glastonbury, which is about the same size and an alcohol/smoke/vape free zone, this fell far short of what I know can be achieved for a family friendly festival. Honestly, the kids felt like an after thought, probably a consequence of using the same site for 4 festivals in 3 days.
All that said, the kids enjoyed it if they didn't know any different. Is it an okay, albeit extortionatly priced, introduction to festivals for kids? Yes it is.
Will I be returning next year? Absolutely not.

Review of Festival Of Comedy
Wonderful evening of comedy, with Milton Jones, Rhys James (not the footballer!) and effervescent Maisie Adam who MC’d brilliantly. Only minor issue was the exit was very restrictive, which would have been awkward if there had been an emergency evacuation. However, if they hold another one in Newport, I’ll be there.
