Small teething problems...

I'm one of the people behind 2022nq

I'm replying to a couple of comments here. We only opened a week ago and this was our first big night so we are always going to come up against teething problems

The toilet issue was out of our hands a little, one of the ladies cubicles flooded so that had to be closed for the night. This obviously caused us a problem as people needed the toilet. The problem has now been identified and rectified

We had 3 full time people behind the bar, which is enough for a venue which holds 250 people. We may be bringing in a bottle bar for bigger events from now on though so hopefully this will ease any congestion

We will also bring in some fans for the big events to cool people down

We have an in house pa system and hired in extra sound for this event, this will be increased for the next event

Just so you know we are a creative event space rather than a nightclub, this is what we hope makes events like this unique. We host exhibitions, creative workshops, film screenings etc as well as music nights so it hasn't been built as a nightclub.

The people behind 2022nq are all very experienced in the entertainment industry so we will not just rest on this and make sure the changes are made before the next big event - which is on Sat 5th May with Justin Roberston - blatant plug :)

Awesome night!

Faultless set from the Horse Meat Disco boys. Fantastic atmosphere, busy but not crowded. Impressed with the venue, quite dark with a chic underground feel, but felt spacious. Drink prices reasonable, good facilities overall. Looking forward to more events at 2022NQ!

Loved the music, really friendly crowd.

I liked the venue although it was very hot and could do with a bit of aircon next time.

Didn't have a problem getting drinks - no more than a minute wait each time I went to the bar.

Could do with some speakers at the back of the room.

Will definitely go again and recommend.

Venue and sound system disapointing

Have to agree with the other review. Music was absolutely amazing, but the venue was pretty poor - and 2.30 finish? That's pretty early by Manchester standards. Also, the music system really spoiled the excellence of the music. I think it consisted solely of a few speakers at front, or at least that's how it felt.

Great Music, poor venue

The music was brilliant, the venue unfortunately was not! No aircon so sweaty as hell, a massive queue at the bar with only three people serving the whole venue and no where near enough toilets meaning the only option for blokes was to piss in front of the queue of girls in the mens loo waiting for a cubicle! I will definitely go to Horse Meat Disco again, but hope they choose a different venue next time!
