Review of Sticky Heat x Sprechen pres. Let The People In!

Crowd was amazing and that kept us going because for most of the night we had DJs that didn't really get how to lift a crowd. Maybe I have been spoiled with excellent DJs? Spoke to loads of people saying the same thing - DJs aren't lifting the crowd with their music. One set was so flat that the crowd were talking mostly. If you see this as a DJ you need to reconsider your tracks ASAP. Wouldnt go here again. Neither would be three friends I went with. Would actively avoid these DJs unfortunately. Sad to say this. However, the crowd was amazing but someone said to me the perfect term : we are enduring this

A great gig, shame there weren’t more people there to enjoy it.

This was a fantastic gig by the Nick Walters Quintet, the band was on top form playing all original
compositions, except for the encore which was a tune called Afro Blue by Mongo Santamaria. At times it reminded me of the great British Jazz fusion band Nucleus and mid period Miles Davis, as there were spacey effects on the trumpet and lots of Fender Rhodes solo's.
