The event wasn't hosted as advertised! The poster said it was going to be a Wolf of Wall Street themed New Years night. Including office games, beer pong, a money shower, free pizza at 2am, music from the 80s and 90s. It even advertised a hot tub! All this sold it to me and my mates. It was a paid event and my ticket cost £17. On arriving we wondered if there was an upstairs as we couldn't actually see any of the things advertised. We got a round of drinks in and saw the beer pong table. The cups were empty and we later found out you had to pay for the beer. The music kept cutting out throughout the night and most of it was current charts which wasn't very in keeping with the 80s and 90s theme. The Wolf of Wall Street film was put on a screen in the background but didn't last long as it too kept cutting out. There was no decoration either. It wouldn't have been hard to make it look a bit more office like in keeping with the film. The money shower at 12am was not as spectacular as we imagined and no hot tub, not even a children's paddling pool. We left shortly after 12 as many others did too. The free 2am pizzas just wasn't enough to keep us there! Minimal effort was put into the night. It was that terrible it was almost funny. The icing on the cake was seeing a poster (okay they made one piece of decoration) of a quote and photo of Leonardo Dicaprio. It read, 'A little party never killed nobody.' Well the NYE party almost killed our party spirits! Wrong movie guys! That's a quote from The Great Gatsby.

When I first read about this event, on various websites I thought it was a very fun concept for a New Years party and that they had really thought about all the little details.

After attending it was obvious that everything on the flyer was a lie, only beer pong was there as advertised, but it was buy your own beer for it which after paying a high (£16) ticketed fee I found bewildering. When I asked members of staff if there were other games they just shrugged and pointed to the beer pong table. There was no decorations to match the theme, in fact there was a wrong film poster! The changing drinks deals were not updated the music kept cutting out and repeating and the staff lacked valuable customer service, even the film only played for like 20minutes!

Overall I was disappointed with the amount of effort put into the event and frankly the dam right lies of the flyer. If you are charging customers to attend a wolf of Wall Street party then that's what you need to offer not just a half *****d effort!

After looking at different events in Manchester for NYE, my friends and I were pulled toward the Liquor Store and its 'Wolf of wall street' theme. The poster was appealing and promised fun games "like in the move" - A money shower ( which we had but it was dire) 80s 90s music etc. ( if you want to find out more read the leaflet, you can imagine what the event was like in your head because i can assure you its better than what I had to endure)... the music kept skipping out and the songs kept repeating themselves, one of guys tried to put the film on in the background, it stopped soon after.. what a suprise! Beer Pong, everyone loves beer pong, but not when you have to Byob! No thanks.. already spend 15 pounds on my entry. No hot tub either, you would probably have to buy your own water for it. The interior design for the event was so bad, there was a picture of Gatsby, d these people realise Leo played a different role in Wolf of wall street? The could have made so much more effort, maybe place some phones around the place,make a fake board so we could see the stocks fluctuate etc.. as soon as it got to 12, we left.. so did a lot of other people.. please can I have my money back so I can buy the dvd and some pizza ( i left before the free pizza). Thanks. HAPPY NEW YEAR...

Not as advertised, 80s and 90s music as well as every other year! No 'games" from the show, just one beer pong table! No hot tubs. Feel conned!

Poor

Clearly 'Liam' was unwell with a bad throat, so another band member took over the vocals. This would have been fine if Liam didn't then spend the rest of the gig irritating the band, strumming the guitars while playing. It seemed he didn't like the band getting any of the glory while he couldn't sing. Because of how annoyed the band were, the gig was cut short. I'll be emailing for a refund.
