Review of The R&B Orchestra: Bank Holiday Special
We attended the R&B Orchestra bank holiday special as part of a birthday celebration. We thoroughly enjoyed the music but was disappointed with the event as a whole, however. Details of the event stated that it ran from 7-10:30pm, meaning we turned up to the venue at 7:15, anticipating a short wait for the act to begin. We had a long wait with not a lot going on until the show finally began at 8:30pm. The act then performed (brilliantly) until 9:15, at which point they said they would be taking a short break. They had still not arrived back on stage by 9:40 so we decided to leave because by this point, we were bored of standing around. While the music was on, we had a brilliant time. However, we were in the venue just short of 2hr 30mins and listened to 45 minutes of music- not to mention having paid for the tickets. I would enjoy seeing the orchestra again, but feel disappointed with the event as a whole; we would have appreciated more specific stage times so we knew when to arrive etc.

Review of Mamas Gun
Great gig by Mamas Gun, not helped by the venue - roof to low, disco lights looping around and in your eyes. People incessantly talking - why go to a gig if you want to talk, stay at home or in the bar downstairs!
