If you are after a traditional flamenco experience then this may not be the event for you.
don’t get me wrong the singing and dancing were fabulous and no question the flamenco pianist was flawless but without the flamenco guitar it wasn’t quite the same for myself personally. The piano sounded very jazz like in some parts which was not what I expected.
That said I did enjoy the evening and it was very different with piano rather than guitar.

An unusual flamenco experience with this trio of pianist, singer and dancer. In this small, intimate venue, a full house was enraptured by the energy and dynamism on display. Alfonso Aroca gave a virtuosic and mesmerising accompaniment to Magdalena Mannion's breathtaking dancing, and Elena Morales as cantora added authenticity as a church hall in Didsbury was transformed for a while into a courtyard in Cordoba.

Great performances. Just a shame they were not on a stage so we could see feet etc (dancers!) or tiered seating. Otherwise a brilliant and highly recommended show.

An amazing show by 3 talented artists. It was a nice diversion to have a question and answer session with them. However, I didn’t pick up all their answers because from my position the translation was partially muted. Overall, a fantastic evening of entertainment and the price of tickets was about right.

I wish I had been on the front two rows to be able to see the dancer’s outstanding footwork. Perhaps a camera could follow his footwork and project on screen… guitar and singing equally amazing!
