It is an Advertising failure, the venue was poorly decorated, we expected to see actual live intertainment, the enitre time, when we got there after midnight it looked a hurracane had gone through it and turned it upside down, dirty , it wasnt advertised as a Student party, we came down from far away and found ourselfs in and event at the VIP area that was smaller than the Bathroom, no VIP Bar service, Music was Daft , finished at 3 when it should of been 4 am...not impressed.

I believe the party's advertising was noticeably false and really far from the reality we all experience at the venue. Details as follow:

Live Circus Entertainers
★ Big Top Circus Dancers > There were none. Just a big screen projecting a circus event
★ RingMaster Themed Hostesses & Waiters > I did not see any hostesses and the waiter staffing was a bunch of teenagers serving drinks on plastic glasses on New Year's Eve
★ Midnight Confetti Drop & Blasts > We had it. That was OK
★ Live Link to Big Ben & Big Screen Count Down > We had it. That was OK
★ Face Painters > We had it. That was OK
★ Circus Giveaways & Crazy Inflatables > None giveaways were given and better do not comment on the inflatables
★ Live Crazy Man Animals! > We had a couple of monkey man and a clown dancing around. I truly believe we all could have leave without them
★ Much More... > NOTHING ELSE

Please make sure you or whoever is the responsible / accountable for this event's organisation don't sale false expectations about the party and venue as it was lower-than-average quality and nothing comparable with what was advertised. I hope you proceed accordingly next time

It was shocking very bad door staff rude didn't ask for tickets or card numbers that we paid with so anybody could get just join the que and they got in as a consequence far to packed and they didn't even have to pay to get in so felt totally mugged off just very bad wouldn't go there again

To sum it up; a joke. Only saw one or two of the features mentioned in the event's description and the rest never appeared. Absolutely no idea why they called it 'The Circus'. Even the few I did see were a lot less exciting than made out in the description. Queuing was painful, got told the coat room was "full" and spent 30 minutes waiting there till there was space. One of the music rooms was closed and the one that was open felt a bit like a year 10 disco. The venue was was definitely too small to handle the number of people so it's lucky that so many left early. The only up side, friendly staff and friendly people all trying to keep the night friendly and fun :)

Music was poor typical top 40 tunes.. Most of the security were agessive and difficult. If you don't get early bird tickets the event is not worth the money.. No circus acts or live animals, a very misleading website. I think refunds should be given for the terrible night

Crappy NYE party. Badly managed (as whole venue had to fit in one of the rooms for the countdown). Could not find the circus theme anywhere, nor the 2 different ambients...

One of the worst parties I have ever been to. The advertising said three rooms with different ambiances and circus performers, instead we got an overcrowded room with a guy dressed as Pennywise and two dancing gorillas, a VIP room where nobody was allowed and a room that didn't open until 12:30 and was necessary to queue up for about half an hour, outside in the cold, to get into. More than half an hour to get any drinks, and the botched they countdown shouting Happy New Year four seconds early. We am very tempted to ask for my money back.

Absolutely terrible! There was no relevance to a 'Circus' theme, the venue was overcrowded and it was not advertised as being in a Student Union and it wasn't as advertised with two music rooms as one of them wasn't open until 12:30am. We only stayed for 1 hour and then left as the experience was one of the worst we have ever experienced.
