Review of Electric Wave Festival

Review based on the time spent there before the cancellation - I really hope people aren't put off by the somewhat poor organisation and return next year, if Surf Snowdonia decide to go ahead! (I say poor organisation as we didn't really know what was happening in terms of camping location, shuttle transport, act or activity times, etc. until a couple of days before the event - and the shambles that ensued when it was cancelled online way before anyone at the site was informed). Apart from the obvious weather-induced mishaps - this has the potential to be a great little festival - really unique. Take 2!

The festival only lasted one day due to wind and the tents etc being deemed unsafe on the next day. Friday was great though, lovely atmosphere and people lively and having fun. Shame it all went off at exactly 11pm just when we were raring to go. Saturday, we waited around from 11 until about 5ish before being finally told it wasn't going to happen at all. Not even Sunday ☹ No one could drive as most had a drink so we had to go on Sunday and wait at the campsite with no entertainment of any sort. Felt sorry for the organisers but very poor communication which didn't help their cause.

We were really lucky to experience last night and will complain to health n safety for ruining such a well organised event - we really hope you don't loose heart and try again in the future as we will support you

It was cancelled on Sat due to wind what a fa**e health and safety gone mad

We arrived and we're directed all over the place to find our tickets. When we found the place we were told they were opening late and we would have to wait, when we ask if we could just get our tickets and come back later the security told us to go and we're very threatening.

We hung round for about 2 hours and had a really nice lunch in the cafe across the road, went back to the site and we're told it was still it was still not open went home heard event was cancelled.

No one seemed to know what was going on our we're you needed to be some security staff were rude and agessive while others were nice and seemed genuine sorry for all the mix ups .

It appeared to be badly planned and thought out although the weather was blamed I live 20 mins down the road and I am now gardening with my Dad so i can't see what the excuse is.

I understand if the Health and safety say no then you have to listen but it seems a bit odd not to have planned for weather as anyone locally could have told them that Conwy valley is quite changeable and the UK in general

Ahhhh loved it!!!! Danced all night :):):) Even had a go of the dodgems (nice touch!), shame the skaters were rained off....Only two criticisms so that it could be an even better night; the ground covering for the main stage wasn't the best for dancing on, uneven rocks, and the tippee could have done with being even bigger!!!!!
