It was a lovely experience, small group size meant a feeling of involvement and a lovely chat with a great Father Christmas. Holker Hall was decorated beautifully which just added to a festive time.

One of the characters, Noel, carried a stick. However, the stick was actually a cane and NOT a walking stick, totally inappropriate.

On the whole a good experience but loose the cane at this and this young child's event.

Late starting, early finishing if it wasn't for quick thinking cast. All felt a bit last minuute.. thought not might have been in the Holker hall itself. It wasn't, it was in a damp barn. Kids enjoyed it but i felt the rxtra adult cost was not warranted. Just lacled a bit of umph.

While the children did enjoy the experience, there were too many children in our time slot. The team were entertaining but they didn’t manage the group. Older children pushed ahead of smaller children and only when we pointed it out did the team do anything. It would have been so easy to make sure everyone was arranged so all could see.
Some parents were taking pictures/filming and standing in front of other children, again no action taken by the team.
It could have been so much better!

I would recommend a minimum age of around 5 years old for this event.

An absolute magical event.....each and every child was included. Actors really interacted with the entire audience including the muggles!

In fairness the kids seemed happy enough though I couldn't really see why. Could see the appeal for younger kids but the older ones .....Hmm. 20 mins of the sorting hat had me riveted to the seat....not.

It was a great way to spend an hour and a half with our boys. Our twelve year old and thirteen year old enjoyed it even though they thought they were a bit too cool for it!

A great day out, suitable for Potter fans, targeted at 6+ but fun for toddlers up. My potter obsessive was a little peturbed by deviation from the Hogwarts houses during sorting, but soon got back in to the flow. The actors struck just the right balance between engaging the children and portraying their roles. Snape was suitably dry, ollivander was a treat and Potter's science was super. Great fun
