A 1st class friendly festival with a good variety of music. The venue on the pier is unique and the fringe festival in the towns bars keeps the party atmosphere going. Highland hospitality at its best!

Review of Loopallu Festival 2018
We've been going to Loopallu for over 10 years now and this year we were slightly disappointed with some of the line-up choice compared with previous years. Also felt Bad Manners should have been on the timetable later in the evening as they were amazing and it was disappointing they on so early :(
Venue location is good as you can mix with village atmosphere a lot better.

Despite the weather everyone seemed to have a good time. Good choice of drinks tents and well organised acts so very little standing around between them. Great venue in terms of scenery and great bands. John Cooper Clarke was hilarious, definitely a highlight. Thanks Ullapool.

weather against us this year, smaller crowd, friday's music not on my hit list. love loopallu. will not stop my coming again. organization excellent. pity had to take caravan to ardmair. unable to find room three months ago.

most acts were excellent, played the crowd well but some of the bigger names were dissapointing. Bad Manners excelled but blue tones and british sea guys seemed a bit disassosiated, as if there for the money. local bands were outstanding. the festival needs a really strong headline act or drop the prices and make it a celebration of local talent. drink was very overpriced for what it was, id have been happier with the ticket price if we weren't being robbed once on site. security needs to be looked at, having a security background I could see that the team were missing potential sign, i understand that Loopalu is a low risk event but the guys need to be trained to spot red flags. they also spent far to long on single duties becoming cold and complacent. the food was well placed and adequate, wee bit of shelter for the caterers would have made their life easier, curtain sider behind the pizza place for the wind. the toilets were also surprisingly clean and maintained for a festival so well done there. the staff were friendly and intigrated with clients to promote the atmosphere, security need to interact better like this, it makes for a great atmosphere, they can be just as observant and pro active while fronting a cheery facade. overall i enjoyed the experience due to the atmosphere and the amount of talented young musicians, great to see.

Really friendly atmosphere and an excellent setting for this festival. Great music to suit all tastes . Only downside was the bar area wasn’t covered so when interval bands were playing everybody was outside in the rain. Ullapool is a great place to hold the festival as everyone was very friendly and a fantastic atmosphere in all of the local pubs.
