Linton Festival
Great Event, time visitors, real good atmosphere, bands were excellent THE HOAX if they are not the best Band I've seen - well U2 at the NEC on the Elevation tour were outstanding - but I just love these boys! Fantastic!
Will be back next year!
(Please mow the grass on the parking areas!!!)
saturday only
Excellent venue and music, a perfect size event - great atmosphere and very friendly.
Very good sound.
Could do better labelling parking and camping -we parked and walked to the camp site - only to find we could park in the camping field.
first time, but would consider coming again.

LINTON
Went for the first time and would go again next year. I thought it was a fantastic weekend. Biggest, well only real gripe was the Indian catering van. I thought the prices were too high. Where as the Whole Hog ware priced just right. High music notes Big Blind, TYA, EHB. Low music note Ian Segal, I got bored!
Camping high points, the breakfast in the camping field Delicious. The bloke folding up his pop up tent and finally the bloke who thought someone had stolen his car and tent. he found them, where he left them I think he had consumed a beer or two.
Roll on next year.
AND WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED WITH THE LINTON FESTIVAL

Linton 2010
Went as first timers but this will become an annual event for us. Very friendly festival with good vibes everywhere. Shame the close camping fields were unavailable.
Music was of a very high standard but of particular note go to Ten Years After, Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Mike Sanchez, Ian Siegal, The Hoax and Peter Green. Very much enjoyed two new bands Northsyde and Big Blind.
As regards wet straw bales just turn them over to dry side, bril.

Went for the whole weekend as a first timer. Have a feeling this will become an annual event for us.
Great venue (shame about losing the close field for camping)and facilities. Very friendly atmosphere with good vibes everywhere.
The music throughout was such a high standard but of particular note go to Ten Years After; Eugene Hideaway Bridges; Ian Siegal; The Hoax; Peter Green and Mike Sanchez with the Seatsniffers.
As regards wet straw bales just turn them over, bril.

Sunday, Linton Festival
To be honest we only went to see Peter Green and Mike Sanchez. Peter Green brought tears to my eyes, it was so lovely to see the flashes of his old genius and it was truly glorious when he did Albatross etc. The guys he has playing with him were perfect for the gig. I'm glad I saw him and I'll remember it for a very long time. Sanchez was as brilliant as ever and the Seatsniffers were awsome too! So a pretty damned good day all round..........thank you Linton and we'll see you next year.

Friday night Linton Festival review
I went to the Friday night event. Despite the weather, which fortunately cleared up just in time, everything about it was great. The bands were well chosen to be on the same bill; for my personal preference I would put the Ian Seigal Band third, the young Dutch lads a good second, and The Hoax......well, I forget how many thimes I've seen them but they never disappoint. A belter from them, as always. The food stalls and beers were truly excellent, plus good, plentiful toilets. If the lineup next year is as good I shall return. £60 for a complete 3-day weekend these days cannot be anything other than top value. Well done to everyone concerned, and thanks once again!

Friday eve.
Could only manage Friday eve because of late booking, a first timer mainly to see I.S. but the dutch band were brill. Will certainly book further in advance next year to include the whole w/e. Well Done to the organisers.

friday linton festival
mainly wanted to see Ian Siegal who was totally awesome as always and thought big blind and hoax were also excellent.
pity about the rain but that can't be helped!! though a covering over the hay bales would have made them an option when the rain stopped!

Absolutely fantastic weekend. Lee Francis in particular was superb. The venue is picture perfect and the atmosphere was sublime (or was that too many limes in my tequilla?) Nee hah...

Steady's Review of Linton Music Festival 2009 at Linton Music Festival
This was the best one i've attended. I love my blues but appreciated the Sunday variation with Gandalf and the Motown band. The Mexican's in the crowd were all Linton virgins, not any more!!!!A BIG THANKYOU TO EVERY ONE OF THE ORGANISING TEAM AND VOLLUNTEERS.

This is my second year visiting the festival and it was a fabulous day out and what a special treat with Connie Lush - she just made it for me. The atmosphere was great and £20 for the day what a bargain.

For me, the best two slots were late afternoon.
This when Connie Lush and the Blues Shouters took charge of the stage and added showmanship (showwomanship?) to the proceedings. Great voice and a great band who lit the spark for things to come.
And Key francis did not fall short of the standard set by Connie. Key is steeped in Blues and is a fantastic performer, but what made it special was the drumming and the bass guitarist. as key took us through a true musical journey they move effortlessly through blues, rock, reggae and African rythms to produce a truly memorable set, culminting in an almost presidential "walkabout" to further delight the fans.
Yes the place was jumpin' at near midnight with the fantasic piano playing from Mike Sanchez, but that afternoon set was a "special brew" and I do not that is just the beer talking.
