Ran out of beer at a beer festival. Asked to leave an hour before it was due to finish. Last year was good. More food stalls etc. I won't be going again

The main issue was that the bar was not big enough & there was not enough staff on duty to cope with the demand. In 2017 the bar was bigger and there was more staff. For the majority of the event it was at least 5 deep across the bar area. Taking on average 30 minutes to get served. People left early mainly because of this. This also lead to customers becoming annoyed and venting their frustration towards the bar staff. Who's fault it wasn't. We also got told that there bar had run out of beer just before 2200hrs. Basically it appeared to be very poorly planned & managed. Shame as the previous year it was excellent.

Overpriced food, weak beer and although the um pa pa band was good it wasn't on for long and there was just a DJ playing tracks in between.

We were with friends and did have a good laugh but it wasn't because of the event particularly.

We got free tickets via a competition, there is no way I would have paid £22.40 just to get in ! I talked to people who had and they felt very ripped off!!

Not as good as last year. Took far too long to be served at the bar and to run out of beer is unforgivable. Won't go back next year

Rip off mark was mainly for the food. I can live with £5 per pint although surely to make a Stein more attractive you should have had it at £9. However £10 for a rank hot dog and a few chips is bordering on ridiculous

This was rubbish. If this was a Beer Festival then why was there only a choice of 2 beers. Food outlets were rubbish. Only 2 on site and neither of them catered for non meat eaters.

we only stayed for a total of 1 hour

Appalling organisation this year. 30 mins to get a beer due to to few staff and then close bar at 10 and not serving people who had been queuing for 30 mins already.

Very unprofessional hospitality, lower standard of security and a real disappointment

Great night ruined by poor organisation and obvious attempt at milking the event for as much money as possible. Ran out of beer and cider before 10pm. Closed the bar when our ticket were until 11pm!
Not enough oompah music, but when there was, it was great.
Disgusting portaloos and only one food stand.
Shame because people were determined to have a good time.

Was really really really disappointed. First of all even the staff member who served us said that it was really expensive. It was billed as a beer festival but only 2 types of a beer and a cider were on offer. Then an hour into the event it ran out of beer we only found this fact out after queuing for 1/2 an hour to buy a drink and then it took an endothermic 30 minutes to get the stein deposit back. We ended up leaving early so definitely not be recommending the event. In fact based on the event we attended would suggest saving your money and going to the pub instead.

Drinks were very over priced and it took nearly an hour to be served. Far too many people in there. It became dangerous and didn't feel safe. Paying £5 deposit per glass was a rip off as the bar bar was so busy that we couldnt return the glasses so couldn't get our money back. Paid £22 each for our tickets and it was a complete waste of money. They should of had more bars outside and a place where u can return the glasses when leaving

I had a really enjoyable evening. Despite the terrible organisation. Announcement that bar was closing at 10pm. 45 minutes queuing for beers. Last year was loads better. It was like they decided that they wanted to make more money this year so cut everything down to the bone

when we arrived it was all good, got our Stein of beer waited about 10 mins not to bad, when we went to get our 2nd stein of beer we queued for 45 mins and still not been served was then told they was running out of beer. we had paid £5 deposit on the glasses but the queuing was ridiculous so we didn't get our money back on them either. so we left and then found out they closed the bar at 10. I will be pursuing on getting our money back.

The beer machine broke and then ran out. There wasn’t enough bar staff and I waited an hour for a drink. Then they shut the bar an hour before close. Badly organised!
But great music

The best thing about the evening (Saturday) was the atmosphere created by the festival goers themselves...the negatives were poor quality, weak lager (especially considering the prices); lack of bar staff resulting in 5 deep queues/20 minute wait; £5 deposit on the glasses which you could only redeem if you stayed to end; only 2 food stalls selling identical food offerings; and the mediocre party DJ insisting on playing non-stop medley mixes rather than complete songs...all in all not really worth the £22 entry fee!

First time we have attended this event. Beer dispensing machine was broken and took over an hour to get a drink. By 10pm they had run out of beer completely and the bar was closing!
