Review of Charley Says Valentines Special

For being a club that’s fairly new. The atmosphere was non existent. Booths were roped off with reserved signs all night. No one ever arrived to fill them. The place wants to be high end but it just isn’t. The staff have no people skills. Me and my friends all had bad experiences with the staff. We were being told off quite a lot about not putting our jackets in the cloak room. But the locals had them piled up in another corner and nothing was said. Got told off by the towel guy in the loo that I couldn’t use the cubical. Urinal only. Placed a tray down in one of the booths to pass around the drinks to my friends. One of the managers told me not to put it there as it was reserved. As I said earlier. No one arrived. The music was not as promised. We overheard the staff telling locals not to post bad things about the place over social media. Prices are high. The venue it’s self looked like it’s stuck in the 90’s. White leather everywhere. Blue neon lights. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all to my Friends. The staff need to improve on making people feel welcome from other areas. Couldn’t relax there at all.

Disappointed by the venue which looked like it was designed by Gemma and Bobby from Towie, amazingly tasteless and probably looked modern in 1992. The security staff were very unfriendly, and even threw someone out of the club for 'dancing erratically' despite them not being drunk or disorderly in any way.
The music had its moments and we had a good time with our friends, but we won't be coming back to the Cinderella lounge.
