Review of Janet Devlin
Really enjoyed the evening ! The venue was amazing, a lovely old chapel oozing character and great acoustics. Janet started a little nervously but soon warmed into and have a great performance, mixing it up with new songs as well as the ones from her album and a few covers thrown in for good measure ! Met her afterwards for signing and had a lovely chat with her - she was charming and very friendly. I look forward to the next time !

Review of Tankus The Henge
The band were excellent even if they did have to work hard to get the small audience going. Unfortunately the whole event was let down by poor quality audio and lighting. The actual sound system installed in the venue is excellent, unfortunately the room is far too reverberant to suit this sort of music. The situation was made worse by a rather poor mix that only started to come together in the final quarter of the set. The venue is beautiful and a lighting designers gift. Unfortunately the lighting was "set and forget" and really rather uninspiring.
Overall: a good band, let down by the venue. Go and see them when they next visit The Fleece in Bristol - you'll get a better gig.

Review of Janet Devlin
A thoroughly enjoyable evening in an atmospheric venue. Janet interacted well with an appreciative audience and gave us a great acoustic set comprising a mixture of already released songs, covers and even a song from her forthcoming 'Songbird' movie. This was real music performed by real musicians (the mandolin player was particularly good). And then, to finish off the evening, Janet even gave us the chance to meet and chat with her whilst she signed merchandise. This was a terrific gig by a talented and hard-woring singer/songwriter; great memories.

Review of Janet Devlin at the Convent
as always Janet was amazing, a lovely young lady with the voice to match in a stunning setting at a convent, the only downside was that we could not be closer to her as they film the shows (would have got a 5 if we were closer as a lovely place) but we were treated to a brilliant show and as she has every time I have seen her Janet came out afterwards to sign and have pics with her fans and thanked everyone for coming

Review of Janet Devlin
Janet's gig was as good as I hoped it would be although a little shorter than advertised. The mixture of original songs and cover versions was well worth the trip. It was good to see her confidence has grown as well as her natural talent. Her band were on point and very worthy of the allocated space.

Review of Janet Devlin
Loved the concert - great intimate location and Janet was on top form playing a great blend of her own material and covers, both melancholy and upbeat. She was her usual quirky and lovable self and it was great to meet her afterwards - my only criticism would be around the published timings as it was advertised as 8-11.30 when the concert itself was 9-10.10 - just from a timing of our travelling it would have been good to know this

Review of Turin Brakes
Second time seeing Turin Brakes, and they didn't disappoint. Beautiful songs in an amazing intimate venue. Really enjoyed the evening. The venue would have got 5 stars, but the parking situation is a bit of a nuisance. It's a really quirky, boho gothic experience, with a very energetic walk up a steep hill single track lane in the dark to get there, as the car park only fits a few cars in it. For such a remote location it does seem odd to invite 300 customers to an event before the car park is built. Once this is sorted though, it will be perfect...

Review of Merry Hell
As this gig took place in the chapel of an old convent, it is perhaps unsurprising that this was a curate's egg of a concert. The band were technically very proficient and some songs were well received. But a random scattering of musical styles did not help the flow. The band, however, were badly let down by the lack of audience support. This was largely due to a pre-concert lecture informing us that the concert was being broadcast live on the internet. We were instructed not to talk as this would be picked up by microphones in the auditorium. As a result, we all sat painfully still throughout. Even the sole person who decided to dance felt the need to leave the room to do so! If you are putting on a TV show, you should not charge admission. If you have accepted money for admission, you cannot treat your customers like a studio audience
