Fantastic night, great crowd..only thing that was disappointing was the staff at the venue & having to show your ticket every time despite having a stamp...customer service not in their vocabulary

To sum the show up, Disappointing!
Firstly with the social media posts, detailing line up and starting times, initial thought was excellent, in for good night, the promoters are kicking it off early will be getting moneys worth!
Once arrived we were slapped with the realisation we should just of arrived for 9pm not 7pm! The place was fully illuminated, couldnt make DJ out, big screens off, music on low volume, which was gutting as they were seriously good tunes!) The false advertising and promoting gave a large number of people false promises of the night kicking off early! Hats of the the DJs on pre-orchestra they were good and they deserved to of been seen and heard properly!
Yay finally 9pm arrives, on comes male singer, with orchestra etc and thinking this looks pretty good, well that was short lived as he goes off and then several very mediocre tunes, with inaudible orchestra were served to the audience. By observing the crowd the minority were into theses tunes, the rest were just bopping waiting on there being some 'wellie' put into the tunes. Obviously no one brought their Hunter's as it took till half way through show for the wellies to arrive! Insomnia! followed by a few others then down it goes again to more sedate and mediocre tunes!
We were seriously disappointed, expected the best of The arches and house music, especially with the DJ's named as attending and orchestra, in tandem delivering tunes with the 'wellie' the arches farewell deserved!
Not sure if there was technical issues too, apart from the crap tunes those that were played the sound quality was poor. If I had a meal/product experience like this I would of requested a refund and had grounds to be issued one! Sadly shows don't have same consumer rights, expensive lesson learned, will be having a look into how much certain artists were involved and rethinking attending anything they are involved with in future (excluding startup Djs that was not there fault but production).
translation wellie = oomph, gusto,energy.

Poor sound ruined whole night. Left midway during orchestral set -- We paid extra for seating and i now regret this. Could easily hold a conversation with people as the music was so quiet.
Felt really bad for performers as they seemed to be doing a good job.. but it was not loud enough for us appreciate it.
Definitely sack the sound guys as they did not do their job.

As a tribute to one of the best clubs in UK that i played when Andy took over was an absolute let down.
1.moved my seat so wasn't beside my friends, only reason can think because hardly anyone turned up .
2.lights left on till the orchestral part .
3. DJ's couldn't hear and reason I had bought seat was because I've tinnitus.
4. Hydro was empty up until about 9pm then it only ever got about third full
5. Colours pay for PR don't get little kids on social media spread the word as on ticket said opens 6.30pm starts 7.30pm then one your little fan club who you gave them the right to use official Colours page notified me started at 6.00pm so stupidly because it said on one of DJ's page DJ would be starting 6.30pm I assumed it correct but was incorrect !
From 6.30pm to around 7.15pm it was like a shopping centre ,an empty one at that with your usual muffled music in background. When DJ's started both your lucky if I could hear and make out half a dozen tracks because none of them could work the system as in volume . I've been to umpteen in the Hydro I stay 10-15min walk from and even been on upper tier and never had problems trying to hear it though I do have tinnitus. Sad night especially as was an attendee and played at Arches since 91.
Orchestral part was absolutely amazing but did struggle to hear . I've been to events where it's not all frontal it sounds surround but not this night so don't know what happened last night .

Ticket stated open at 6.30pm with the set on at 7.30pm. 2 DJ’s there at 7.30pm up the back, no idea who, no intros or MC's with reduced sound like it was a backing track. Main arena lights stayed on till 9.15pm and then the orchestra/choir started coming on stage, still no intros or MC's to let the crowd know what was going on. Once it started Judge Jules got things going. The Orchestra, choir and lead singers were excellent but this was 2 hours after the ticket start time!! Not good!! Being involved in sound rig setup for clubs years ago I have to say that the sound production was rubbish, the sound rig was badly setup and was set more for a live band and not a club, no subs or thumping base as it should have been, really bad EQ. The tunes would build up as normal, just getting ready for a great track and then nothing, no base kick, it was really flat. Couldn't hear the orchestra properly and the decks were obviously turned down to compensate. Could also have chosen more big anthems that were more widely known. There were too many really drunk people on floor, some seemed very young and there was drink spilled everywhere with some staggering and falling about. Drink really shouldn't have been allowed on the floor area. Just wasted it for everyone. All in all I was really disappointed, it could easily have been a cracking night but unfortunately it was badly let down by a mis leading lineup info, some really poor stage management, bad format planning and really poor sound production. Afraid to say it wasn't worth the hype nor the ticket price.

Advertised DJ sets had no DJ’s there. Lights were on and music just playing with no intros, no person at decks, no names in lights. Mis-sold on that. Orchestra was good, singers good, Judge Jules good, half the song choices not good. Could have chosen some better anthems more widely known. Too many drunk people on floor, drink spilled everywhere, people staggering and falling about. Drink should not be encouraged in the venue on the floor area. Just wastes it for everyone. Yes I had been drinking at lunch and pre going through but not while watching gig and dancing, just no need.

As someone who attended the arches from 95 onwards I would say to advertise the event as an arches reunion was a let down bad lighting. & a couple of the songs was like really the arches??? Wish had only gone to swg3 as the only person that made me feel like old arches days was judge jules

Review of Haçienda Classical Glasgow - 2017
Just a class night from start to finish. There were big queues when we arrived but they quickly went down, same with the bar queues. The venue inside was perfect for the rave/concert mix. Sound was great, visuals and lights spectacular. Just enjoyed it thoroughly from start to finish. Highly recommended.
