Review of Mark Morriss (The Bluetones)
Great gig, few electrical problems with the P.A. But once overcome it turned into a very enjoyable evening. Great vocals along with some neat acoustic guitar playing. Mark Morriss didn't disappoint & left the crowd well entertained. Nice touch signing autographs afterwards too..

Review of Mark Morriss (The Bluetones)
So Mark was a charming, witty and entertaining performer but he was working with nothing - dreadful venue, shambolic bar, terrible punters and totally useless PA system Which blew every three or four songs. Quite why 100 Edinhurgh locals chose to come here to talk over th main act is beyond me but massive hats off to Mark for soldiering on. Massive hats on to the bar for pretending to be some kind of craft pub when in reality it's an industrial unit housing 5 home brew stills and absolutely no idea how to host a gig

Review of John Cooper Clarke - Very Intimate Show
JCC, what an entertainer. We got some old classic material as well as some new stuff, interspersed with anecdotes and laced with Rat Pack songs. The venue was intimate, a basic industrial unit next door to a martial arts gym. It was packed and hot, but with a friendly atmosphere. Although some people further away from the stage struggled to hear, partly due to the beer refrigeration plant kicking in, that couldn't take away from a thoroughly entertaining performance by Dr Clarke. Mike Garry deserves a shout too, first time I'd heard his poetry and well worth a listen. Great night!

Review of John Cooper Clarke - Very Intimate Show
Excellent show in a cramped and very warm venue.
Appreciate what they're trying to do here and hugely appreciate them bringing JCC in though, thoroughly enjoyable night.
Bouncers shouting 'don't touch him' as they brought Dr Clarke in was an unintended hilarious touch.

Review of Kyle Falconer (The View) Intimate Show
A great little venue (with it's own inhouse brewed beers) welcomed Mr Kyle Falconer of The View fame to a rare intimate show. For over an hour, Kyle belted out hit after hit of View material as well as some rarely heard back catalogue numbers. There were also a few surprise tracks, such has Beatles classics 8 Days a Week, I've Just Seen A Face and a version of Twist and Shout. Kyle played his heart out and looked about to collapse with exhaustion at the end.
Only bad point was not being able to see Kyle from some of the areas of the room - I would recommend some sort of drum riser (or a few pallets) just to raise the artist up a bit!
That being said, it was still a great night.
