Review of Les Miserables School Edition
Superb production! The performances were out of this world, you wouldn’t think it was a school edition.
The venue, as spectacular as it is, May not have been the best as there was no stage so you couldn’t see it the actors most of the time

Low mark for venue as no raking for seating or elevated stage. Therefore hard to see action at times. Also constantly distracted by people videoing and photographing in contravention of your instructions not to do so.

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
Absolutely amazing performances from all -soloists amazing -such talented young people
Only complaint was we couldn’t see the performers from the back -would have been better with a stage but didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the singing

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
I love Les Mis and have seen it many times on tour and in London. In this to were all fantastic singers for being so young. Future stars of the West End. It was wrong venue, unless you were in first few rows, audience struggled to see anything as actors were mostly on ground level too. Should have been on a raised platform. I think anyone who has never seen Les Mis may have struggled to understand it as could not see anything.

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
The whole performance was wonderful. The talented young people and orchestra were absolutely fantastic. There should have been some stage or tiered seating so everyone could have viewed every part. Fabulous.

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
This was incredible show with really top-notch performers. It did not feel like an ‘amateur’ performance. The singing, acting and music were superb. Blair Cunningham is a star!

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
As my granddaughter was in the cast I may be biased, but for me the whole cast, musicians, crew and staff made it a special night .How good will it be for these young people having this event on their CV down the line to have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe .For me it will remain a most memorable day.

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
The show was fantastic in every way and all involved gave 100pc. However although the venue was beautiful unless you were lucky enough to get front seats it was very diffucult so see the performance. I did enjoy it immensely tho and take my hat off to the whole team. X

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
Movies to Musicals is an amazing chance for young people to showcase their talents and learn from dedicated, fabulous people. Les Mis was incredible. The acting, singing and enthusiasm of the young people performing was top notch. An unforgettable experience to watch. Well done to everyone involved.

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
The show was fabulous, the talent of such an incredible group of youngsters outstanding but sadly the whole experience was spoiled by the fact that the majority of the audience could barely see what was happening. Unless you’re in the front few rows, you’ll miss all the action. A very peculiar decision and really sad for those on stage (the problem being there was no stage!). The performance area was not raised at all and with the audience’s seats not sloped to any degree, exacerbated further by action being performed by youngsters (short) or often lying down (I assume!) then we really could see nothing. The second act with the barricades made such a huge difference because we could finally see the amazing performers.
The decision to raise the orchestra/conductor and yet not the performers is unfathomable! Everything else was excellent, music, lighting, etc, but wasted cos couldn’t see the actors! The venue itself is beautiful but the staging must be adjusted to suit if it is to be used again.
Wonderful show, very talented actors but please put it on somewhere else/adjust the staging so that the action can be seen by more than the front two or three rows!

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
This production was of a professional standard, as good as the very best West End shows. Every single member of the cast, band and production team was 100% committed and displayed their talent and enthusiasm. The best value ticket in the Fringe by far. Just a pity that the venue did not allow a larger audience and better viewing.

Review of Les Miserables School Edition
The show was excellent, the cast were phenomenal, every single one. The leads were well chosen and their talent for their young years was outstanding. I thought it a tough project for a young cast but they knocked it out the park and their solo songs performed pitch perfect and made me very emotional.
Just a pity that unless you had seats near the front you didn't catch much of the performances but it didn't much detract from the singing and overall enjoyment if the whole experience.
