The event got off to a slow start with people hesitant to get up and dance but it picked up after a bit and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The bar service was slow both upstairs and downstairs, with long queues meaning less dancing time. The drinks prices were quite high too. The pre-dancing meal downstairs was ok, the meat seemed cheap as there was bones and gristle on the chicken (we had a chicken Balti) but the rest of the food was nice. Pudding was served on a plate with a dribble of custard (but more was supplied when asked) and we had a complimentary prosecco and free poppadoms and prawn crackers on arrival. The staff were very helpful though and friendly. The meal area was very smoky whilst they were cooking, was stinging our eyes a bit and it was quite cold in there. Overall a good night but just a few tweaks here and there would help make it a better night.

Had an absolutly fantastic night. This was the first time i had been to the venue and will definitely be coning back. The Dj played a good variety of music. I was mega chuffed when he played Nirvana, Bon jovi and Guns n Roses. Cant wait till September now for the 80's night.

The UB40 night wassss outstanding. Would recommend them 2 anybody. The place is very nice. The food is excellent so much you will be spoiled 4 choice. Stay away from poppadoms & prawn crackers to soft taste stale. If you are the back of the room you won't here the tribute band clearly, it could do with being connect to the venues sound system, but saying that I would go back.

The Venue itself is quite good, but the 80's night itself IMO could have been better. In my experience if the dancefloor is packed, a song comes on leaving a handful of folk on the dancefloor, most DJ's would change the tune. Not here though! Too many times the dancefloor was quite empty due to the DJ's choice of music. Most song requests were ignored which is not very professional of the DJ. Would I recommend? Debatable; we would possibly go one more time to see if there was any change. The 3 guys I went there with shared the same opinion. DJ spins good tunes, folk dance - folk dance hey get thirsty. They get thirsty, they go to the bar and that's good from a business perspective for The Venue

I thought that Olly Murs was awful last time. But Robbie Williams was his usual fantastic self. Love the kilt. But I must say venue was very cold ended up sitting in coat and it was far too loud it drowned the songs.

Super evening of 90's and 00 music. The Dj had it spot on. Pretty much full dancefloor all evening. Friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices for drinks. Looking forward to the next one already.
