On arrival I was pleased I could park at the castle given it was advertised as hardly any space, there seemed plenty. I was really pleased to see the size of the stage and venue as it would be more intimate which I prefer, seemed to take forever for Aswad to come out but then we waited an hour for Maxi Priest! Some people have said Dawn Penn turned up whilst Aswad were performing but the organisers wouldn’t allow her to perform but if that’s true I don’t get it because we had an hours gap so sounds unlikely but we are all left guessing as there was no explanation. Maxi was interrupted mid performance, no idea what he was told that couldn’t wait until after he’d finished his track but he literally left the stage, seemed in a huff and never returned to do arguably his top two tracks best of me and close to you! I can’t believe he didn’t do close to you! Even if he had to finish bang on 10pm the organisers know how long his set is and how long he needs, to cut it short is terrible for the paying fans. It’s not like other acts overrun ? we waited an hour for him to come on! I’ll be complaining and asking for a refund! He seemed pi**ed off to me but took it out the fans really by not doing his top tracks!

quite disappointed to find that dawn Penn wasn't at the event and that maxi priest wasn't allowed to do his final track, the sound guys or event organiser didn't allow it which was a shame.

Badly organised event and poor communication from promoter. Don’t understand why there was VIP, would like refund as not needed with low numbers in attendance. Show start time was 6pm didn’t start til 7.15pm . No explanation to why there was delay, and unprofessional in terms of still running sound checks etc way past show time. Was told food vendors would be present, there was one burger and chip van at a Reggae event , don’t get it. Dawn Penn arrived, and was told she was late so they never let her perform. She arrived while Aswad was still doing their set. This was never announced at any point to the audience that she would no longer be performing. Full refunds should be provided as false advertising. Disappointed with Maxi Priest, a bit self absorbed I feel, didn’t really engage in audience and wanted us to sing more than him sing.

Good music very poorly organised made to wait in field for an hour and a half before we could get in we arrived early as was instructed so as not to miss anything but had to wait while they set up the entrance no body seemed to know what was going on then waited another 2hrs at least before any bands even started aswad and maxi priest were very good but Dawn Pen was a no show Ltd choice for drinks and the usual £5 for anything at the bar the vip was a waist of time as we were not given priority entrance and vip area was just an empty tent with a bar

one member of security extremely rude. there were no signs to say you could not walk up to the castle walls. being told to get down otherwise I'd be 'kicked out' was not necessary and aggresive. signs should be in place to tell the public to keep away!

Advertised 7pm till 10pm! I was there 6pm till 1015pm and seen 1hr 45min of live music.
Aswad came on a few minutes late then we had an hour wait before Maxi Priest! Maxi was fab but got cut short just as the best song was about to come on. There was no explanation what so ever as to why this happened and to why we didn't see Dawn Penn! I get they have to finish at 10pm due to the village as I am a local myself but if it had been organised better, we may have seen Dawn Penn. Very disappointed with how it turned out! Save you're money and what them perform on utube! At least you will see all of the acts!
I hope you have the decency to let everyone know what went wrong, as there was alot of unhappy people leaving Tutbury tonight.

It was very disappointing that Dawn Penn didn't perform and this was not explained to the crowd. Toilets were well kept, the bar was fully manned at all times, food van was decent, venue was brilliant and the staff we spoke with were very helpful and/or friendly. It was a great event but I do think we should have been told about Dawn Penn.

Aswad were excellent
Dawn penn was a no show
Maxi priest was entertaining
I felt for the three acts it was good value for your money
but a no show from Dawn was a great disappointment I do feel a little bit robbedð???ð???

Badly organised as they ran out of time. Maxi Priest was cut short and Dawn Penn didn't happen at all and there was no apology or explanation! I will be expecting a refund as the event was not as advertised!
