We've been to the last 4 Comic Con in Cleethorpes and they've always been fab, but this time there was a big lack of stalls inside. Quite a rip off for £16 entry, my boys were gutted.

Booked for early tickets to avoid the queues - good idea. However , seemed as if half the stalls were missing from previous events. Felt sorry for the celebrities - stuck at tables along the far wall with a large void between them and the traders . Not sure if this was because they were expecting lots of autograph hunters !! Chris Barrie was lovely , Danny Jon Joules a bonus. Craig Charles next please !

There was very little to do at event was expecting to be there for several hours but after 40 mins of walking round the stalls there was nothing else to do or see.

The venue was extremely cramped, I felt for buying tickets early there wasn't any point as there's no limit on early access so it was a massive que, the toilets were in a terrible condition which ended up ruining my costume from urine on the floor. I was directed the wrong way to the cosplay competition which I inevitably missed because of it. I felt some stores were amazing where others just felt like they were selling stuff like a car boot. Next time some more food stalls outside maybe as there's a lot of space but no food having to go all the way to the other end of the seafront to find food.

Wonderful experience to go to for people of all ages while having the entry at a fair price for the content that was available on site. Venue was slightly busy and cramped but an overall friendly relaxed atmosphere in which folks would interact a lot with each other along with wonderful store owners and celebrities. Not much music on site to speak of but understandable in a more social gathering/stall browsing event.

I've been to previous GEEKS events before (multiple x @Doncaster) so thought that this would be on a par.
PROS:
1) This venue (Cleethorpes Leisure Centre) was smaller, but much better laid out. As someone who is disabled and also suffers with anxiety issues, it was clearly noticable that there was thought left to access space, which is something Doncaster really suffers from.
2) Access to guests was much more sensibly made out - rather than leaving very little space for potential queues there was plenty of space so that you could see who people were, and how busy, and generally stop rather than feel you were in the way (although the people accompanying the guests were a bit intimidating so I was actually a bit too anxious to approach the tables or interact)

CONS:
1) Not enough variety. One of the things I'd really enjoyed about previous events run by GEEKS was the variety of stalls which were in attendance, so that there was something for everyone. This time it looked like everyone was trying to focus on the fluffy girl geek quotient. No less than EIGHT of the stalls selling the exact same pendants and charm bracelets earrings etc. When I counted only three stalls selling COMICS that's definitely skewed the wrong way. another three or four selling pop figures, three t-shirt stalls, one autograph stall, and one or two various collectible stalls, and an american candy/drink stall. The retro game stall was a nice gem, but unfortunately had too much stuff out to enable any real browsing - same with two of the comic stalls. Oh and randomly two BAKED GOODS stalls - one cupcake and one cakes - which if they'd been say superhero cupcakes, fair enough... at least in keeping with a theme... but no.

As a result I was done within about 40m of wandering - having gone round the whole thing twice, which made it poor value for money.

Given the number of stalls who are quite happy to make the rounds on events like this, I think GEEKS need to vet a little better so as to provide variety for paying customers - there's nothing wrong with saying "no we already have 4 of this type" ; it provides much needed variation for clients and also provides and incentive to stallholders to book early - securing a better event all around.

This being said; I would be willing to give another event a go in future, just to see whether it's a location issue rather than just really poor planning. However, GEEKS needs to up it's game for those who are repeat customers - give us a reason to come back - not the same stalls with the same guests. As an event planner myself, this is an absolute given.

It was a good con, lots of stuff ive never seen before but it was crammed into two rooms and the second one wasnt very organised at all. There werent many signs showing where to go. I enjoyed all the products that where there and the staff were extremely friendly and where obviously enjoying themselves. I dont think it was worth going for both days because they had the exact same stuff as on the first day and we had walked around it 6-8 times the first day and even went home earlier then expected. On the second day we went around twice to see if there was anything new then spent about an hour in the games room. It was fun but cramped and i wish thered been some kinda system to play the games, like if someone was waiting youd then be given 10-20minutes to get off the game so someone else could have a go. They also had a 'tournament' with the games where it just seemed to be 'pay £1 to play a CoD map with one of the crew'. I still really enjoyed myself and its close to food places and bus routes which make it accessable. I would go again but probably just for one day.

Organisers worked very hard and organised another fantastic event. Just a shame that a few guests cancelled once we had paid. We still had the best time and would recommend these events to anyone and everyone. Atmosphere fantastic lost of cosplay.

Not as good as previous years. Next to no comic sellers at a 'comic' con. Too many pop vinyl stores all selling items priced a minimum of £5 more than the current going rates. Some as high as £20 more. Some stalls also selling fake looking products. All the better advertised guests mysteriously cancelling days before too...

There were alot of stalls and the holders were very welcoming and helpful. There needed to be more room for the characters to be in so people could have thier photos taken with them, but it was a great day, More room for the gamers and more gaming stations. Thank you for hosting this in Cleethorpes, we need more of this sort of thing

I had a very nice time at Comic-Con. The stalls were very filled with plenty of amazing products and they were not that much either. The cosplays were amazing and the people that went were very nice and didn't cause any trouble. Overall I had an amazing time at Comic-Con and I would come again.
