Review of JOOLS HOLLAND & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra
Such a great evening, in Central Park Chelmsford, at the Jools Holland concert. Terrific supporting acts too, including a fantastic set from Beverley Knight and Eddy Reader. Our party of 12 friends thoroughly enjoyed!

We both enjoyed the music and the ambiance but didnât find out at what time the concert was starting , so it was a long wait for us . We got there when the gates opened .

Review of JOOLS HOLLAND & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra
We paid for a VIP priority pass, but it was not good for us as one of our friends would not be able to see a thing. She is disabled.
So we had to go through many people to the other side that did not have all the facilities. There was only one toilet, and when we wanted to have a drink, we could not get to the facilities we paid for. Other places we have been to have a raised area

Great relaxed fun as ever. Venue staff friendly, smiling helpful +++. Well organised. Plenty Porta loos in good order. Food range good but lots couldn't afford to buy on top of ticket prices in present times/climates. Bottle water for 7 hours + very unreasonable....!! View of stage not terrific as most audience stood up. I have to use a chair a lot of the time. Similar comments by a lot of people around me. Audience age range tended to be older. Where was a large screen??? It would have solved viewing problems... Cheers.

Review of JOOLS HOLLAND & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra
A great night out. Travel to and parking was great. No rip off fees for parking and lots of local council car parks available for the usual rates, with no extra “event day” charges.
Beverley night was fantastic start up - she sang her lungs out and owned that stage but without losing her humbleness and also showing her perhaps cheeky normal personality befriending the same crowd. Without doubt her soulful voice is one you must hear.
As for Jools - LEGEND. This is my second time seeing him but the first time with the R&B band. At the Albert hall with Tom Jones for a Tickled Pink concert I wasn’t impressed but I’m glad that didn’t put me off. I would definitely go again.
Even more than just an ultra-talented musician he is an ambassador for new and old artists and he doesn’t stop playing. I mean he starts the show with a quick tingle on the invorys while the rest of the band are coming on stage and getting their stands and mics at the right height.
The guest singers were truly amazing. Very impressed with Eddi Reader of Fairground Attraction fame. Ruby Turner and Louise Marshal were without a doubt the big voices you need to play with that ensemble.
It was also nice that throughout the night each of the band were introduced and got to solo. Was also great to see some of the bands family members in the vip with us, beaming with pride of course.
If you love music of all sorts and have never seen a proper bands play with trumpets, trombones, sax & a double base - you should go. It’s amazing.
A couple of artists I’d like to see with them love would be - Buble, Williams and Sheeran
Closing statement - FANTASTIC and now I want Hootananny tickets more than ever!

A great afternoon in the sun with great music and a fun atmosphere. Jools and guests were fantastic.
My only irritation was I wasn’t allowed to bring in a bag of sweets. I realise the ticket said no food or drink but a bag of sweets!! Really?!
There were no sweets available at any of the food stalls, only massively overpriced burgers, pizzas and chips.
A great evening only marred by the fact I couldn’t have a toffee! 🙄
