Review of Fat Penguin Management presents: John Nicholas - EP Launch

One of my favourite venues in Cardiff! As the names suggests, its just like a circus Big Top, so colourful and cosy with low lighting and sparkly lights in the live music area, as well as big comfy sofas in the bar area. Cosy and cwtchy as us Welsh would say.
Its an upstairs venue, so not accessible to all people. The stage is small and intimate, the sound is good and the vibe is better!
The only downside for me are the bar prices. Not the cheapest beer/cider/ale, probably due to the fact the downstairs is the 'trendy' !0 Feet Tall c**ktail bar. Certainly doesn't stop me going here though.
This particular event was superb. Natalie Holmes & Tom Auton are superb musicians in their own right and supporting John Nicholas, they definitely got the evening off to a brilliant start. John is an incredible artist, with his looping skills and phenomenal vocals but having a full band behind him really brought the new EP to life. Go check out all the artists featured and get along to The Big Top sometime soon...you won't be disappointed with either :D
