Review of Cambridge Geek Con 2018
Some very good stalls. And displays were good but not that many of them for the space that was available. Disappointing that after being told on original booking that their was going to be actors their from different shows . Non were their in the end.

Review of Cambridge Geek Con 2018
Geek Con 2018 was a really fun event, much better then what I had expected! There is so much to see and do, I spent a lot of one with the cosplayers who were all really nice and friendly. There is lots of things to buy at the event and there is lots of things you can do, I recommend it a lot!

Review of Cambridge Geek Con 2018
The Geek con was quite small, but there was more than enough to keep my kids entertained for the afternoon. We went on the Sunday afternoon, which was quite lightly attended, but this meant we did not have to queue for anything. Starwars scenes for photos, vintage video games, learning how to fight with light sabres, a good range a vendors and a few cosplayers. Food in the venue was not great (there was only baguettes and sausage rolls and my kids are a bit fussy), but you could go out to the restaurant on the rest of the site- with hindsight we should have brought a packed lunch.
Review of Cambridge Geek Con 2018
The event was very disappointing. Entry was not particularly well organised. Stalls looked too spa**e in the large hall. There was not much for children or adults to take part in and we were only there an hour. A few good costumes and fun at the retro games but otherwise not worth £40 entry for two children and two adults. Complete waste of money for us.

Review of Cambridge Geek Con 2018
Having taken our sons to MCM Comicon in London last year they were keen to go again. Having seen this similar, albeit smaller local event, we decided to give it a go.
There were about 30 stalls mainly selling the usual geeky goods (as the name suggests). Comics, clothing games, memorabilia etc... While on the small side the venue was excellent with the Star Wars props a highlight for photo ops. Both my boys (5 and 7) loves riding the speed bikes from Return of the Jedi. All staff and other visitors were very friendly adding to a great atmosphere. Very reasonably priced merchandise easy parking and access. As a bonus it was possible to take a look round Duxford museum too. We didn’t on this occasion living locally we visit often.
Kids had a great day! Who. Am I kidding- I did too!

Review of The Imperial War Museum Duxford
Attended Geek Con today and agree it is well over-priced for entry. Bought tickets online the night before thinking that you normally get a better price and didn’t realise about the booking fee so I paid nearly £7 more (for 6 tickets so about £54 in total). Wish I had gone for the on the day entry after 12pm as it wasn’t busy and would have saved us some money! Even at £8 a ticket (the on the door price) I think that is too much for the amount that is here. It wasn’t very well advertised either as I just came across it by chance a couple of days before and no one I spoke to locally knew it was on. The stalls that were there were good and we picked up a few cools bits and all the stallholders were nice and chatty. Just think it shouldn’t be more than £5 entry for the amount that is there. The price would be justifiable if it was bigger.
