Review of The Hard Rain Band play the songs of Bob Dylan
The Hard Rain Band were awesome of course, the atmosphere was excellent. The only glitch was that at one stage in the evening the Grain Barge bar broke down and all the beer was off!

Review of Sarah Larkham sings Bob Dylan
A very enjoyable evening. Sarah and husband plus supporting player on pedal steel performed a well chosen set of Dylan favourites, mostly from the 60s and 70s. Many were ‘popular’ hits such as ‘Like a rolling stone’ and ‘Just like a woman’ but there was also a sprinkling of less obvious songs, including ‘ Blind Willie McTell’. The songs were delivered by Sarah with a combination of enthusiasm and reverence. Hubby’s harmonica playing was a real bonus.
The event coincided with Sarah’s birthday with many family members and friends in the audience and also being namechecked. At times I did feel like an intruder at a private party !
The hold of the Grain Barge is compact and the stage is low ,so sound and view depends on finding a suitable gap to occupy. Bristol Beer Factory beers at reasonable prices. Independence ale (highly recommended) at £3.80
