The puppets and puppeteers were excellent , with almost all the voices being identical to the TV characters.
The show itself however was less than inspiring . It didn't even follow the basic rules to hold a small child's attention. there was not enough visual interaction and far too much dialogue about what was about to happen. ( When it eventually did it was totally underwhelming).
Given the popularity of these puppets it would have been so easy to capture the attention and excitement of these small children, either with the use of a few simple "Pantomime techniques" or a simple to follow storyline such as the TV show presents.
Were the puppeteers not aware that they had lost their audience by the increased non-attentive noise level and the small children out of their seats and not even looking at the stage. This was standard throughout the auditorium even before the first half had finished.
It was a very expensive show and in my opinion extremely poor value. I would not recommend it.
