Review of Paul van Dyk - Bristol
Paul Van Dyk was fantastic, I've seen him gig all over the world. He's the best. The venue?
Motion is dreadful, the lines to get in are not too well organised, and they confiscate "chewing gum". The layout inside is poor, the screen behind the DJs was damaged, and lines and blocks of pixels were out. Most important of all is "sound". The sound systems were terrible, I would say the speakers at the front were too low, at the wrong height and it was not a good experience at all. In short, the space is NOT well set up and the sound system has to be one of the worst I've ever heard. Sorry.
I do not wish to be rude, but it's clear that Bristol and the UK are in a declining shabby state. PVD was fantastic but I would NOT go to Motion again. I do not wish to offend, it is an ugly setup for ugly people in my opinion. I would rate this gig 2/10. - If I compare the PVD gig to Outernet in October in London 2023, there is not even the right to compaire standards.
