Day Out

Planned an early arrival primarily because of the expected weather with 5yr old grandson. It was well organised plenty to do but maybe a bit spaced out for those not able to walk too far. My biggest disappointment was the lack of support for such a good cause, perhaps the advertising was not enough as I only registered what the Waterloo sign on Handley roundabout was after hearing about it on Wave 105. The weather as usual played a huge part but it was such a shame the whole event was not more supported. I hope it won't put people off another year as there was much to do for all age groups....though again one comment was the entrance fee was too high for families to which I would probably have to agree.
I hope all the personnel from all the charitable trusts were not too disappointed and the Service personnel likewise...not a great how of support for so many good causes.
