Review of Bedlam presents Chase & Status, Friction and more
The performers were amazing, which was expected. The service was not very good. We stood in que for the cloak room and the ladies’ toilet (which I found crazy to have it together with the ladies’ toilet) for at least 20 minutes, then when it was my partner’s turn to give our coats in, 2 really tall guys came from behind him, and said angrily that he skipped the que, which was not true at all, and everyone else, who came long after us started agreeing with them, this way they could give their coats in earlier. Then of course, listening to the crowd, the ladies who were taking the coats refused to take our coats. After arguing with them and begging them to watch the CCTV, they took our coats, but this made us feel really angry and ignored. Of course, it’s not the ladies’ fault, they were trying to be fair, but these ques (one for the Cloak room and one for the ladies’ toilet) should not cause this kind of mess in the first place. The venue itself has got a lot of potential. I wish there was a better system on how to serve customers’ needs. Next time if we ever return, not sure if we will hand in our coats, to avoid feeling this way again.

Good music, crazy queues outside to get in, then crazy queues for the toilet and one lot of toilets out of use, very busy, tense atmosphere with two people collapsing on the dance floor so the music stopped for a while. Nice helpful staff.

The whole event was outstanding! The music was great. The long queues for the entrance and cloakroom were taking too long. But overall great event and great night

Loved the event even with the slight issues. Managed well! Would love to see Turno, serum, K Motion, Wilkinson and Andy C at your event some time in the future.

Music fantastic. Venue was good - queue to get in went by quickly, the venue had a good layout, however; it is absolutely ridiculous to only have one ladies bathroom open for that many people, especially as there were only about 7 stalls and half of them were “out of order”. It is also very odd that children were allowed in with adults, particularly as there were so many people there who were quite clearly on drugs. Queue for the cloakroom was ridiculous. The music stopped for 10mins at one point which I understand isn’t to plan but shouldn’t happen. At least two people had fainted/seizures so there was obviously a big problem with either people taking too many drugs, or girls were being spiked. Prices were unbelievable - for a venue that is OUTSIDE of london, you cannot be charging higher than london prices. Over £8 for a single in Boscombe is stupidly expensive. I have rated low on atmosphere too based on the fact that there were too many drugged up young boys with their tops off who were pushing the crowd and jumping around, but when you stood firm, they acted like they were going to fight you. Again, the music was brilliant, but I left after 2.5 hours because I had enough.
