The combination of Sarah Jane's powerful vocals, engaging scene setting before most of the songs and Antonio's mesmerizing guitar virtuosity made for a wonderful evening. I liked it so much I bought the CD which Antonio signed! The ambiance within the church lent itself well to the intimacy of the performance, the only disappointing factor being the low attendance on the night. Very friendly welcome from the organizers of the event/church staff? and I found it mildly amusing when it was explained that there was a bar upstairs! I hope there are plans for future events of this kind at the venue as I agree with Sarah when she said it should have been packed! I would strongly advise taking a comfy cushion along however, as church pews are not forgiving on the posterior!

An eclectic mix. Consummate acoustic guitarist Forcione and the unique voice of Morris. Her lyrics against his guitar style creates a fascinating blend. Always rewarding when the live set is not note for note the studio album. Covered songs were refreshingly different from their originals. It's a great shame the audience was so small. Was this gig under publicised? Forcione and Morris deserved a much bigger audience. However, they played and sang as though the house was full. St Paul's has very good acoustic qualities. Shame the sound engineer wasn't up to them for the first half of the set - did a pint beckon?
