Review of Gin & Meat Festival
We booked this as it looked interesting and alternative but was hugely disappointed when we arrived. When we entered there was slot of smoke from the food. We got tickets for our free complimentary drink which was tropical fruit juice with gin but there was so much juice you couldn't taste any gin if it was at all it there! I mean seriously who puts juice with gin...
There was also no alternative which one of our group was diabetic so couldn't have it. DJ was rubbish and there was no dancefloor area. There wasn't enough chairs to sit either. The while thing was a shambles and in our mind completely missold .

Absolutely not I didn’t even use my ticket. I walk up the stairs looked up to ceiling that look like it was about to cave to see 10 people. It was 4pm at this time, I walked straight back out, and caught the sit of urinals as I walked. What an experience, waste of my time and money

It's the 3rd time I've attended this event and despite the fact that I usually hate anything club related I always enjoy Brunch'n & Hip Hop.
It has a relaxed vibe with quite a diverse crowd in terms of gender, culture and age. The music is great for those who love old school hip hop/r&b (80s upwards) - they do play some up to date tracks too. It's a comfortable atmosphere where everyone is clearly there to kick back, eat and enjoy the music.
The warehouse venue is on the cold side and the toilets aren't great. Probably not for those who are into the whole VIP culture, but it has a good, laid back vibe (better than any club I've ever been to!).
The one thing I would like to see is more games (pool, etc) as they've mentioned retro games being at the venue, but so far I've only seen basketball hoops and beer pong I think.
Overall it's an enjoyable event that I definitely recommend.

Review of Brunch\'in & Hip Hop
The music was what I expected and really was 'old skool' with a few new tracks and the atmosphere was excellent, mainly due to the music.
Unfortunately the venue is not appealing at all and I wasn't planning on staying when I saw how unsightly it was.

Events in a somewhat derelict warehouse will never be my first choice, though it is something different and was actually quite good. I’ll be sure to wrap up warm next time though as it was cold.
