An incredible intimate gig at the best live music venue I know. Congratulations to Rogue Country and the Swinging Arm for bringing Tommy Prine's 'This Far South' tour to Birkenhead. It's worth remembering that this tour began in Atlanta Georgia and will end in Fort Worth Texas. Forget Liverpool, the future is Birkenhead.

Tommy Prine was fantastic! Great songs and stories. You could have heard a pin drop throughout the whole set apart from the enthusiastic applause of course. Great quirky venue, a hidden gem I've now discovered so I'll definitely go back for more live music.

Tommy Prine is a lot more than just his father's son. Beautiful songs, beautifully delivered. I'm sure that next time he tours England he probably won't be at the Swinging Arm in Birkenhead - a great old school pub venue. Tommy is an extremely talented song writer and conveys warmth and honesty on stage. Hopefully, he will get the recognition he deserves in the future.

Review of Rogue Country Presents: Jesse Daniel

Great night of music. First visit to The Swinging Arm in Birkenhead. It was only a small venue but live music is what they do and do it well, the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Jesse Daniel and Jodi Lyford were superb as was Josh Beddis the support. All in all a great night at a price that now looks ridiculously cheap. Will definitely be looking at further Rogue Country nights.

Hadn't heard of Jesse until three days before and became an instant fan after this gig. A true raconteur who tells great stories in between songs as well as during.

Really intimate gig in a friendly and welcoming bar. Never been before but would definitely go again. The gig was all acoustic but was played really well and it allowed Jesse to describe the backstory to many of his songs, which was an added bonus.
