As much as London might be the capital of England, it is and will remain the clubbing capital of the UK. With so many scenes born in London, the city’s rich diversity often produces the most exciting music and most expressive clubbing experiences in the world. We’ve selected five of our favourite clubbing destinations for you to check out, clubs that regularly exceed expectations and remain essential parts of dance music culture in the British Isles.

Pacha

Pacha London is a club that embodies the spirit of Ibiza like none other this side of the White Isle. Boasting some of the capital’s best house nights, Pacha has in its near enough 30 years of existence brought a unique style and pizazz to the clubbing world, marrying sophistication with upbeat hedonism better than anyone else. And now with a brand new facelift, Pacha's stunning reimagining that has returned it to the underground, complete with super high end sound, sexy decor and now enticing ever more forward thinking music programming.

Fire

Situated very close to Vauxhall tube station, Fire is one of the most loved clubs in London. Developing the Warehouse vibe with great panache, the ten arched venue marries a lo fi aesthetic with state of the art lighting displays, architecture, and creativity that results in a completely unique clubbing experience. With regular DJs including everyone from Steve Aoki to John Digweed, Fire has become the destination for top class promoters looking for that high end but warehouse rawness in their club nights. Featuring six dance arenas complete with LED walls, video screens, fantastic lighting, full colour lasers, Co2 cannons, pyrotechnic rig and world class Funktion One sound systems, Fire is a clubbing experience that has to be seen to be believed.

London Warehouse Events

Since 2010 London Warehouse Events have been putting on some of London’s most cutting edge events establishing themselves as kings of the warehouse scene. The combination of unusual locations, bespoke production, killer sound and an obsessive attention to detail has meant that 2012 was LWE’s most successful year to date, delivering over 25 blistering, sold out shows across the capital. Unlike most other clubs, diversity is what sets LWE apart from the crowd, working with the world’s most influential artists and labels to cover a vast range of sounds from House, Electronica, Dubstep, Techno and Drum & Bass to Electro and all of the inbetweens.

Egg

Egg London is one of those venues that actively continues to push the boundaries. Never sticking to simply one genre, Egg actively seeks to run nights that represents all manner of electronic music. Recently undergoing a fantastic new refurb that brings the feel and aesthetic of the club fiercely up to date, Egg remaining a favourite for many, maintaining a fairly diverse crowd, resulting in a friendly up-for-it atmosphere often missing from other London clubs.

Ministry of Sound

Ministry of Sound is a club in little need of an introduction. Now very much a clubbing institution, the worldwide dance music brand has become synonymous with high end production, quality music, and supreme party vibes. The London club embodies the Ministry of Sound spirit perfectly, regularly outdoing itself with outstanding line ups, enticing acts that only it can. Maintaining eclectic and savvy bookings, ministry of Sound remains one of London’s classiest haunts - a must visit for dance music fans.
