Shut That Shit Down is a brand new drum n bass event series launching at Rhythm Factory in Whitechapel on 1st February 2013.

The concept is simple - bring together the original masters of the genre with the latest unheard up and coming talent in an independent-minded London venue with reasonable door and bar prices. In essence, putting cutting edge drum n bass back within the reach of those of us who maybe cant afford £20 on the door or £5 for a pint of beer in these harsh economic times - great as those nights may be.

The line-up for the launch night is a serious statement of intent, featuring the likes of Grooverider, Doc Scott, Bailey, Ray Keith, Bryan Gee and Artificial Intelligence. Whilst the door tax is low, there is absolutely no messing about when it comes to the booking policy. Shut That Shit Downs logic is simple - dont be greedy, put on a wicked night, fill up the venue, and go home happy.

Also crucial to the formula is an open mind. The event series will feature heavyweights of upfront d nb alongside pioneers of both the liquid and darkside scenes, on the same bill, in the same room, on the same night.

With big plans for future nights, including a massive 3 hour anything-goes set from Doc Scott in April, on a line up that also features Blu Mar Ten and Randall, Shut That Shit Down promises to test the boundaries of drum n bass to its limits with a fresh-headed approach and a commitment to innovation and quality. The launch party is certainly not to be missed.
