The legendary Steve Lawler gives Ritual a glowing review after his set back in July. He was our 3rd guest after wAFF and Sasha and he absolutely tore the roof off - music was amazing!

"After Hideout festival and quite a heavy schedule throughout June, I came back to the UK for a few day?s rest before my afternoon show with Ritual at Madison Rooftop. I was expecting a small, easy afternoon set, but no ? this place was jammed wall to wall on a huge roof top! I don't know how many people you can get on a roof, but I'm guessing close to a thousand people were all there, waiting to hear me drop some groove led juice to fill the glass walls of the place. It was such a great party, I?m still a little shell shocked if I'm honest ? I wasn't expecting that...
I got some sleep before heading back to Ibiza for the third Warriors show of the season. As usual ? and this time no surprise ? it was packed and going off, Sundays is fundays. It started off with me doing the pre-party at Café del Mar, which was great. It?s such a nice vibe playing the classier of sunset strip venues. Café del Mar is so rich in history, and it always feels like a privilege to play there.
Next I headed back over to Playa d?en Bossa and into the cavern that is the Sankeys basement. I left there at 7am feeling somewhat dishevelled? sign of a successful night!
I had a quiet week after that with Friday off. I spent the whole week going through loads of old tunes, digging out some hidden gems for the summer ahead. I found that the new influx of promos of late had gone a bit stale, so this was much needed and I'm glad I made time for this. I found some incredible forgotten music. I went to my usual spa for a day of relaxation, which I absolutely needed after the heavy touring schedule. I tried to spend most my week in my apartment, avoiding going out for dinner or to the beach as that usually means being near alcohol, and I need some alcohol-free time!
On Friday I travelled to Naples for Jamie Jones' Paradise show at Metropolis, a huge beach venue. It held around 5,000 people throwing some serious shapes, but beautiful shapes as only the Italians can. Jamie played and was followed by Black Coffee, then I closed the show from 4am ? 6am. It was incredible watching the sun come up as I closed out on a couple of classics. The stage absolutely packed, it was vibes all round. I love playing for these guys, it's always good.
