Remedy Trance Family

I?d like to take this opportunity to thank you for attending our first event of 2014 ?Remedy Goes Rong?. In my view, the event was an incredible success and on behalf of our team, I would like to pass on our thanks for all your support.

It was great to have the chance to meet so many of you face to face and it was very encouraging to see so many new faces alongside the die hard Remedy Trance Family.

It was fantastic to have so many world class DJs under one roof and the AfterHours.FM broadcast consistently had over 1000 listeners tuned in throughout the night ranging from Australia to the US and from Russia to Argentina.

I hope you all had a chance to meet Giuseppe, Bryan, Craig or James on the night, as they were some of the nicest artists we?ve ever had the pleasure of working with and we hope we can bring them back very soon.

We?d also like to thank everyone who made the trip down to Bournemouth on the night, as we know it?s not a simple journey up the road for everyone. From looking at the stats from the ticket sale coverage we realised that some of you went ?above and beyond? the call of duty and travelled from the North, Wales and even Scotland, so I think that deserves a special shout out! *Applaudes*

It was a ground-breaking event in many ways for Remedy and not only for the level of talent we showcased on the night. We were also happy to announce that our Remedy Website went Live at www.wehavetheremedy.com on which you can gain access to our Remedy Merchandise Store for all of our Limited Edition Range of Remedy clothing. We saw some of you modeling them at the event and they look great!

From the feedback we had on the night it seems everyone enjoyed them selves as much as we did however I think it would be unfair not to address the downfalls as well as the successes. So I would like to shed some light on the problems that many of you faced at the after party.

From the people I?ve had an opportunity to speak to, I?ve been made aware that a number of you were unable to access the after party at Cameo for one of the following reasons; issues with dress code, issues around substance use or general issues around security being obnoxious.

Prior to the event a 3-hour meeting took place detailing the conditions of having Cameo as the after party. It was agreed with the Manager that everyone who had paid for a ticket at Remedy and had a wristband on was able to have free access into the Cameo club from 3am onwards.

Cameo applied for a license to keep the club open until 6am rather than their usual 5am licence but unfortunately they were informed that it was too short notice for the temporary license to be permitted. Instead we were given the go ahead for a 3am ? 5am after party in the main room. Vic Light, Dav Gomrass and Jack Harlow were all set to play for the final 2 hours and had kindly agreed to smash it out at the end of the night?(Thanks again guys)

During the meeting no dress code restrictions were discussed however we did discuss how Slinky & Trance used to host huge events at the very same venue approximately 8 years ago. We were asked if we would be interested in bringing Remedy to Cameo on a fulltime basis and we were offered the main room from 9pm ? 6am. With my loyalties lying with Bar So I turned down their offer but I said I would be open to talking about it in future based on the success of the after party.

The first time I was made aware of any such problems was when I received a few calls and texts from people outside Cameo. Now we all know the rules around substance use so I won?t bore you with the reasons why some people weren?t allowed in, but I will take full responsibility for the errors that occurred post 3am regarding the dress code. It should have been something we focused on and I regret taking it for granted that the manager and his security knew what a typical Trance event entailed. I personally don?t know why the clothes that you wear determine why you can or cannot get in a venue that is infamous for its club nights, but I?m afraid that this is and was something out of my hands.

I hope that you can forgive the problems that occurred after 3am and we can only promise that the Remedy Birthday event on Friday 2nd May will be problem free and we have learnt from our mistakes. We have a venue that we are currently in talks with about an after party and they have already made us aware that there will be no specific dress code and the Remedy Trance Family are free to wear whatever they like. We will release more information on this as soon as we have it. J

Now I want to end this message on a good note, as the event itself was such a memorable event for all of the right reasons, so we will be announcing our 3rd and final headliner for our Birthday event on Friday 2nd May within the next 24 hours. All you have to do is go to the Remedy Facebook Page and type #YesTellMe on the post. Once we get 100 yeses we will release the name!! Early Bird Tickets are almost Sold Out so grab one now.

Thanks you for taking the time to read this press release. We know that growing the brand is easy when you spend big money on lineups but maintaining the quality and making sure that the fans are happy is our #1 goal. If you have any questions or any feedback you have for us please feel free to send it over to andy@wehavetheremedy.com
