Surely one of the coolest venues in Manchester - Antwerp Mansion, gets ready to host an all day extravaganza of enormous proportions. The stunningly renovated Victorian mansions will host Storytime Festival on Sunday 2nd of June, a festival which celebrates everything from music to art, live performance to circus acts, poetry to photography. This incredible, and slightly unusual (in a good way) festival has it all.

Some of the highlights will include an all day visual arts program from leading photographers, facing challenging and bold themes for those after a bit of cerebral entertainment. Live music will cover a wide range of genres, from reggae and roots to Ska and Dub, and even a bit of Psychedelic stuff thrown in for good measure. Some of the acts to look out for are Addiktz Reggae, Salutation Dub Collective, Bad Transmission and a live show by Midnight.

The entertainment doesn’t end there though. The ever impressive Cirque Du Manc Mistresses will be in full effect. Hailed as the the edgier side of the Cirque Du Manc performance troupe, their act can be described as beautiful and bizarre, weird and wonderful, surreal, fetishistic, kinky and daring! With boundaries certainly being pushed, they will provide some of the most unforgettable moments at the Festival.

Circus performers will be dotted around the complex providing constant surprises, The Hooping Harlots will have a number of appearances, as will Foxi Pinkerton (Burlesque Dance) One Trick Pony (Contact Juggling) Slim Chance (Poetry) Lyndsey Bycroft and Sebastian Walsh (Spoken Word).

Combine all that with a whole load more musicians, stalls selling crafts, and a film night, and you’re literally going to be spoilt for choice at this years Storytime Festival.

This is going to be a story you’ll be telling your mates about for some time.
