Point Blank Student Success: Dado Prisco

Dado Prisco came to London from Brazil to pursue his interest in electronic music. Since completing the Music Production, Sound Engineering and Business Diploma he has secured a handful of DJ gigs around Brazil and used the knowledge he gained during his time at Point Blank to set up his own studio. Dado also secured work as a tour manager at one of Brazil?s biggest artist agency, Plus Talent, which handles the likes of Sharam, Axwell and Calvin Harris. Once his studio was up and running, he started working with the Brazilian DJ, Bruno Be where he was able to develop his deep /tech house style and focus on making improvements to his studio.

Soon, DJs and producers such as Gui Boratto, Elekfantz, Kolombo and LouLou Players started heading down to Dado?s studio to record and he soon grabbed the attention of big record labels like Warner Brazil, LouLou Records, Warung Recordings and Bunny Tiger. Earlier this year Dado set up his own club night called Uncle Jack which hosts music events across Europe and Brazil. And even though the nights are still relatively new, Dada has managed to secure well respected artists like LouLou Players, Vanilla Ace, Dale Howard to play. After gaining huge support from BBC Radio 1?s Annie Mac, he now plans to bring his club nights to the UK this October with two dates scheduled in Glasgow with Hostage. Dado is now planning a tour of America and is due to play at this year?s Amsterdam Dance Event.
